Now you're being ridiculous. The game has been evolving for ages, moreso in recent times. And we could make the ball round, so it's easier to track on the VAR to see if it is over the line.
And stop players picking it up so there is no more incorrect disposal.
Can we please just apply the rules in a better and more consistent way rather than try to reshape our game.
He hasn't been delisted, and won't be if either WA side show interest in him. He's DFA I believe..
Thought about Schloithe(?) when watching Reid and other newbies play, but a bit reticent to mention him on here. Perhaps we went too far the other way with blooding youngsters, to our detriment, although in most cases we were forced to due to injuries. Just pick out our 3-4 weakest links and replace them with strength, guile and skill or readymade walk-up starters! (easy huh?).Just watching replay of WC demolishing the Pies in Rd 8 of this year with McGovern out injured.
No Ah Chee, Ainsworth, Reid, Brandner, Vardy, Hickey etc and we look awesome.
Genuinely believe out top 22 odd beats anyone, but as everyone knows a fair few of our players outside of this wouldn’t get a game at Freo.
Surely we can pry out an experienced mid, Half Fwd & Half back from other clubs that aren’t in contention or even WAFL or SANFL. Even Haydn Scliothe fron Souths would offer more than blokes like Reid, Ainsworth whilst we are the window.
If you can find a ruckmen in the draft that outdoes Naitanui in leap, fitness, strength and endurance with pick 1, ill eat my head
So basically your saying Williams is better than Naitanui!
Well, you are on a roll today arent you.
I cant wait for your next pearl of wisdom.
We won a flag with no Naitanui up against Grundy in peak AA form. Hawks did it, Tigers did it.....multiple times.......without a gun ruck.
Oh, and Nic isnt finished yet.
Say we did trade Williams for pick 1, what would you do with it?So basically your saying Williams is better than Naitanui!

fu** off I am. Naitanui has a intensity that Williams doesnt and is much more agile. To me you seem like a draft junkie. Kind of guy who would trade Dustin Martin because pick 1 could become a young Dustin Martin. If you got quality you keep it, you dont go piss it away on another roll of the dice because it could potentially be better. Instead you actually be smart, realise you already have something good and work with it. You dont sell your farm to bet it all on 35 red
Also McEvoy is a VERY good player. How can you say otherwise?

If you wouldn't swap Williams for Cripps your kidding your self. Not everyone.
Risky move considering the lack of exposed form the draftees will have. Suppose this way you'd get two chances.Obviously totally hypothetical but I would trade pick 1 and split it into the best two 1st round picks we could get. A later top 10 pick and apick in the teens.
Teams seem to be desperate to get pick 1 and will pay overs to get it. Also how many pick 1s have gone on to become stars? The pressure on any pick 1 is huge.
Say with pick 7 and 14 I would use this on the two best mids we can draft.
Ontrade it + Darling for Ellis Yolman?
Get off the Willie BongThoughts on trade value of Baily Williams?
Now I know he is looking very promising and could be the next star etc......and we'd be crazy to consider it. I get that.
But that also means he holds value. It seems the demand for ruck/forwards is at an all time high and lets just face it, we seem to do alright drafting and developing talls. It is something we are bloody good at and we have history in trading rucks in and out.
I haveno doubt clubs are enquiring about Williams. What would it take to agree to any trade?
On a side note there are a couple of promising rucks this draft that will go mid to late 2nd round or early 3rd.
That comment is very harsh on Vardy and Hickey.Get off the Willie Bong
I've been very impressed with him. He is going to be a monster ruckman.
Vardy and Hickey are rubbish.
Next
So not that harsh after all...That comment is very harsh on Vardy and Hickey.
Vardy had a very good 2018 finals series and contributed strongly in our premiership win. Yes, I acknowledge he was average last year and this season he was pretty much injured all year.
Hickey was very serviceable in 2019 but again has been average in the few games he played this year.
Rubbish is a very strong word.So not that harsh after all...
Sure hope we don't hand over our only semi decent pick for Langdon. Hopefully straight forward deal means pick 52 at worst. This screams, we'll happily give up pick 30 for him. He's pick 60 onwards.
Not reallyRubbish is a very strong word.
