Jordan Clark won the GF sprint - sign him up!

But imagine having to do the GF sprint whilst ya team gets to play in the GF. What a kick in the guts. No wonder he wants to get back to WA.

No way he is leaving geelong

Now you're being ridiculous. The game has been evolving for ages, moreso in recent times.
It makes perfect sense to remove all scoring doubt from the league (or reduce it to a minimum) especially in close finals games or a Grand Final when so much is on the line (or over the line?). Evolution and adaptaion is the natural order of things, otherwise we'd still be playing old style (Irish) football in long breeches, woollen jumpers and leather boots with metal studs!

so I use an extreme in a satirical way to make a point, and that’s ridiculous.
then you use another extreme to make yours in the same post.
Makes sense I guess?

Id like to see us have a go at Marlion Pickett. Richmonds salary cap is tight and we can give him a trip home on more money providing we offload a guy like Hickey. I think a 3 way deal of Tom Hickey to Sydney, pick 40 odd to Richmond and Pickett to us could work for all iinvolved except Richmond who would probably be letting a player they want to keep go because they cant afford his wage

Fremantle cant fit him into the salary cap so turned him down. He is on 400k+ next year.

Geelongs magical salary cap strikes again

Geeez.....Marlion Pickett a double Premiership Rookie.
Would give the Tigers a huge leverage during trade period
(probabably more than TK)...😉

Missing out on Shai Bolton when we went after him is still a gut punch to this day :(

The whole Treloar if he went to Richmond thing got me reminiscing about the one that got away here

I kind of feel sorry for him last year he got paid 1/2 a rookie salary because he was picked in the mid season draft .
This year he got paid half a rookie salary because of covid .

The lowest paid double premiership player in afl history.

He is also a free agent

Fairly unlikely he stays next year but its not like we can afford him either. Would suggest someone picks him up along the way on the money he needs. Probably a team like Gold Coast

Interesting listening early in this interview with Crazy Vozzo. When asked by Mark Duffield about list changes, and specifically Lewis Jetta and his contract status, Vozzo says that his place on the list is contingent upon list sizes and TPP. He then goes onto say that it also depends on what the club is planning to do in the trade AND free agency period.

Which free agents could we possibly be in for? When is the final date that free agents have to nominate their desired destination?

We are obviously open to get some mature aged recruits. We are just saying "make us a offer"

Decent call, but given that he's out of contract and on their rookie list (like a few solid tigers players), can't he walk as a DFA and we (or the purple potentially) get him for SFA?

If you can find a ruckmen in the draft that outdoes Naitanui in leap, fitness, strength and endurance with pick 1, ill eat my head
Crazy pills. Yes.

Williams > pick 1 magically.

Pick 1, 30, 49, 52 > Dogs for English, 12 and their 2021 First Rounder.

Gives Dogs the points for Jamarra, as well as the first pick in the draft. Gives us a ready made ruck replacement, and two first rounders.

Grabbing two first rounders in the most compromised draft in AFL history while giving up a certain 200 gamer is not a good idea.
