AFLW 2024 - Round 9 - Indigenous Round - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
As soon as I saw the news article I knew peeps here would be disproportionately upset about some random rookie from Tassie that hasn't played a game.
Never change BigFooty Eagles board
Still plenty of dead wood to cut.
Reckon we will re-rookie himReally hope someone takes a rookie hope with Watson - would love to seem him flourish in the AFL
I thought O’Neill would have been kept.
All the others were IMO expected.
I think that will be the first cut, others will be cut after trade week.
Eastcoasteagle is going to be super pissed about MON being cut.
Don’t see an need for both Ainsworth and Hutchings.
Hutchings the better player ( I know not a high bar ) but his body is now shot.
Ainsworth is well Ainsworth = carpola.
Can’t help but feel that Ainsworth is still on our list as the recruiters and powers to be are wanting to save some face, with fingers crossed that he might come good.......as the ghosts of Worpol and Constable are haunting them.
Cruel business is AFL and this time of the year is always shitty time to see some good people cut.
Feel for those cut this season with out an opportunity to show their wares at the WAFL , Treacy and MON were always on a hiding to nothing, when the Beagles were cut.
Thanks to all who have now been delisted for their efforts and contribution to our Mighty Club and I wish them all the best going forward.
With the knee? I doubt it.Reckon we will re-rookie him
Ghosts of Constable??? Really??
I'd have Francis's Knee over Ainsworth's brain any dayI know it's a hilarious running joke, but no one genuinely thinks Ainsworth is getting delisted this year?
The guy was picked in our 22 for our EF with us only a couple of players down from full strength.
He isn't getting delisted this year. Zero chance despite how much some want it.
Well I mean he's contracted anyway so....I know it's a hilarious running joke, but no one genuinely thinks Ainsworth is getting delisted this year?

Well now he is free to go and play for Samoa when they get their own AFL Team.A promising junior CV ... that every club ignored multiple times.
Meh. If he gets another shot and becomes a good player then good for him, feel free to bump my comments, but Partington has an even better CV (B+F at East Perth, Magarey Medalist) and no one wants him either.
He was a rookie that didn't pan out. No biggie.
I'd personally keep Jones, Ah Chee and Ainsworth.Ainsworth, Ah Chee, Venables, Jones, Jetta, Hutchings and Vardy still uncontracted.
Yep it's 10/10. I grab my morning roast en-route to the office everyday.Someday Coffee? ******* ripper that place
I am really annoyed the WAFL Eagles are no more. Thought we finally had the perfect set up with AFL, WAFL and AFLW sides all based at the best facilities in the state, perfect development environment
Claremont: A. Waterman: out, N. Reid: in?MON - not sure how recovered he every got. He arrived injured and had back and other issues so it may well have been a medico call. We will probably never hear.
Hammer - showed in one game he has heart but not enough pace. Kind of like the Corleon family - the middle son was never destined to greatness.
Frank - he will play no or very little football in 2021 so no surprise.
Treacy - speculative pick but as soon as we went deep into small forwards and he was not in contention, kind of guessed he would go.
Reid - really good Beagle. I hope Claremont pick him up.
Hamish was drafted in the national draft with the last pick - unless he was moved to a rookie spot later?Out of all of those guys, is Frankie Watson the only senior listed player?
I'm pretty sure he is. In which case, there will certainly be more delistings later.
