I was 100% against the 'bring back Hird' sentiment, but you know what.. we need a campaigner who knows his way around a crisis.

Hird is tactically far better than what Woosh is serving up right now*. It's like Woosh wants to get fired.

*Would take Caracella if available
Hird basically had the same gameplan except he had Watson. Let's not pretend he was some tactical maestro.

I cant throw it on him. He is being asked to be one our forward targets. Its not his roll. he's a crumber at the fall of the ball. just watch him, he will run forward of the pack, but with no one home, he has to compete. The coaches ought to be held accountable for this. Hurley is a beast of a competitor, but he is too slow with his defense to attack - re Rance
He was playing the old Davey/green role of the smallest guy having it kicked on his head. That being said he missed a lot of tackles and that missed mark was horrendous

I think people are being bit unfair on Walla, the guy is a crumbing small forward yet tonight there were times when he was essentially the main leading forward and as such he was up against bigger defenders.
So you're saying the club should get Alwyn Davey in as a specialist coach for Walla, yeah?

LOL, I nearly yelled out stop kicking it Davey but thought no one would get it.

I think we need to examine the set up of the forward half the ground and how the ball is brought into the forward half.

From Sydney, can’t see the game and could only follow on the radio (afl app).
Question - McKenna kicked in last season and only had an occasional issue.
In the 2 games, he’s having a lot more trouble. Is this because of a defensive coach change?
From what I hear he seems to be finessing a kick and turning it over.
I just can picture him using the new goal square rule to run on and break out.
Has he been told not to?

Yea, but the way the coaches are playing him, to be a target, then a defensive forward that chases. if something fails in that scenario, you do drop your head a bit.

Laverde and Ridley cannot get a game for this team?

Really?

Really?
Bruno, didn't your folks teach you to respect your elders? Woosha is simply instilling good values into the team by selecting players like Myers and Baguley ahead of those whipper snappers you mention.
