Someone said that during the game day thread - hope he told them to shove it.Did someone from the AFL actually tell Cloke to tone it down on the bench yesterday?
How much better does the weekend feel after waking up with a win the night before?
Don’t care how we got it done, what we did and didn’t do, just that we got the W against an opponent supposed to finish higher than us.
Goldstein has been very durable but there is every chance at his age he willAgree.
Also better maximizes our real strength forward - Langford and Stringer who are very, very good when isolated deep forward, 1:1. Wright benefits from playing high, chopping out in ruck and not being a constant focal point.
Goldy is my boy and I’ve quickly come to love him - but he plays VFL, develops Bryan and fills in when there is an injury.
Wait until they find out Windhager is likely to miss to cop a week separate hit on Durham in the second quarter.I wasn't joking when I said Saints have the most bonkers fans.

Arrogant little boy stuff.I was relieved when the Pou kicked that ball out of bounds on the full. He burnt off about 3 teammates. He did us a solid there.
Dancing Bear now do Bunny's too?
I believe it’s the Brad Scott factor he was pretty supportive of us in the past but I’ve noticed since Brad’s took the helm he has become more anti Essendon.I can’t be only one who sees this.

Did he say Brad was the best coach? To be fair to King he did say that Zach is currently the league’s best Captain.
similar in my section, though i did get some filthy looks from ainter's every time i perked up by yelling something non-serious.There’s been a bit of talk about the Essendon fans helping to drive the team to victory in the last qtr but I want to say that from being at the game live the Essendon crowd is largely uninspiring for such a big club. Sure, when it came to the crunch, our large home contingency got excitedly involved as we kept close the Saints but for the most part it was flat.
The cheer squad is largely unnoticeable and does nothing to ignite chants, singing, or lift the team out of its low spots. In fact, even as we got close there was no obvious Essendon chants that I could hear. The only vocal stuff were individuals cheering random s**t. Did anyone get a different perspective?
But there’s no unified support. It gets vocally loud and random if it’s close but otherwise it is generally insipid. I genuinely didn’t notice our cheer squad. Couldn’t find them at all. Surely someone is leading that section. Maybe they should study the 12th man mentality of the Kop at Anfield. They are literally an extra player and the almost spiritual connection with singing You’ll Never Walk Alone and creating songs for each of their key players is spine-tingling stuff.similar in my section, though i did get some filthy looks from ainter's every time i perked up by yelling something non-serious.
last quarter was when it changed though, lots of cheering and yelling.
Bloke behind me was saying "chewy on your boot" when Saints were having a shot on goal. Worked a bit too. There’s been a bit of talk about the Essendon fans helping to drive the team to victory in the last qtr but I want to say that from being at the game live the Essendon crowd is largely uninspiring for such a big club. oh absolutely not, there's nothing more than murmuring which is disappointing. But there’s no unified support. It gets vocally loud and random if it’s close but otherwise it is generally insipid. I guess the lame stuff that leaves the mouths of third tier nuffies reaches the players on an ESP level because there’s no way known that they are considering physics when they blurt out their random nonsense. There was some half-wit behind me who shouted the most embarrassingly inane comment, obviously trying to get a laugh, and all he got was silence.Bloke behind me was saying "chewy on your boot" when Saints were having a shot on goal. i get pissed off (for no reason ofc) when people say "there ya go" when someone kicks a goalBloke behind me was saying "chewy on your boot" when Saints were having a shot on goal. Worked a bit too.
The young fellas at my footy club love this one atm “ya mum cooks a dry roast”Bloke behind me was saying "chewy on your boot" when Saints were having a shot on goal. Worked a bit too.
Went to an Arsenal match at Emirates in 2022. Everyone, including the sizeable visiting team's fans (Eindhoven), knew when and how to voice their support for the respective teams. Same with the Barmy Army at the cricket. We just don't have the same sporting culture. Theirs is better. But there’s no unified support. It’s the general lack of unity and just how bereft of creativity the support is. I blame the fact that nuffies fill the cheer squads and any half intelligent person wouldn’t go anywhere near themWent to an Arsenal match at Emirates in 2022.
