Recruiting: A few quality young blokes, otherwise blokes who have played adult football and have a bit of mongrel.
Do these bloke come in with 'outstanding junior success' but haven't met 'real nasty stuff'.

As I said last week, players don't want/believe in Worsfold. Nothing personal, they just don't think he can coach the "modern" game. Now heard from another ex-player that there is two coaches angling for Worsfold to go.
Must be said these ex-players certainly aren't Essendon royalty but still in the Essendon circle.
The bigger battles might be about to happen off field rather than on it soon.

Any idea why not? He rebuilt the list and we finished last year strongly.

I find these times far less frustrating, and even possibly a little enjoyable, if I lower my expectations. Otherwise this may be a very bleak year. However, even I didn't realise I would need to lower them so far so early. Let's face it, there are so many huge holes in our side we were always going to be middle of the pack at best. Holes like dismal rucks, few if any inside mids, and horrible key targets. However, even taking these into consideration something just doesn't add up because the effort just hasn't been there and players are devoid of confidence.

What has gone wrong and where to from here?
