Out of interest, what do you do? You’re in a privileged position re work.
Yeah if wfh is an option it's good, but imo government should pay everyone including casuals and just create a corona levy for a year. Then shutting down wouldn't impact employees

Surely just working out the finer details as we speak.

If it was a no go it can’t have taken this long to decide.

It is almost 24 hours until the season is scheduled to start. Scott Morrison said hours ago that it is up to the AFL. Yet, they still have not made a call.

Make a call with a disclaimer if it is yes, and if things change tomorrow then you can change the call. If you don’t want it to go ahead, then say no already.
They're spineless. The players and clubs want to play and health officials and the government have given them the green light. They're probably just weighing up how bad the PR backlash will be if they go ahead, which they clearly want to do.

I think the afl know the season won't re-commence once it's shut down. Call me cynical but I think they want to squeeze in one round so that clubs won't have to refund memberships, also it likely triggers some kind of network clause in which some football has been played and the afl's liabilities are significantly reduced.
There will be no 2020 premier

Its a simple decision ...... postpone and wait and see how this plays out over the next 5 to 6 weeks - they could still commence the season at the start of May and get in a 17 week season

If by then the situation hasn't improved by May then season cancellation comes into play.

Most other sport events or leagues around the World have postponed only those close to finishing have cancelled altogether

Pull yer finger out Gil ...... its not that freakin hard to work out

Being reported Hawthorn have advised Box Hill that none of their players will play in the VFL this season. Western Bulldogs and Richmond have already suspended their VFL programs, so if/when the season goes ahead it will look very different from 2019.

I honestly still think the AFL and AFLPA are at a roadblock which is why it’s taking so long to make a decision.

Teams will need the larger player pool if games are played in quick succession as niggles can take the 6-7 days to recover from, particularly the older bodies.

So play one game (without any crowd mind you) and that's enough for clubs not to refund memberships

May be members need to suck it up and be happy that their money is keeping their club afloat in these uncertain times

Not too dissimilar to how Essendon and Collingwood field different looking sides the match after an ANZAC day game if it's within quick succession.

Social media marketing, work at medical practices doing that, used to do more but this allows me to spend time with my daughter and what not.

I’ve budgeted my whole life- you budget for a rainy day so to speak. Will I have to use those savings possibly but personally I’ll be fine
