There is no way Sig can play Afl with that poor kicking action. His skill level is terrible.
Having a mid with the kicking ability of ROB or Butcher is crazy.
Mids have made good careers with poor technique, it's the bookends where it hurts

When I do that, it says the video is 'only available in Australia due to licensing restrictions', sounds like even Channel 7 don't think Tasmania is a part of the country
Same message with me

To be expected only 1 player with > 40 games of SANFL in Beech.

Too many top ups without the required fitness. Greenwood and Pohlke looked good in the bits i watched.

The $3 for centrals was a gift.

Actually sad watching Thommo TBH

It's certainly not how he derserved to finish, but I can't feel bad for him. He publicly pressured the club, effectively forcing them to delist him. So the only 2 options were for him to have another crack or to be delisted where everyone knows he wanted to go on. He went out of way to make these the only 2 options.

The Sig, Polke look promising. Beech probably closest to AFL level. Could probably slot right in. Thommo past it.
First game for the season. Give him a few.

With Talia going down and Keath struggling with injury, really need to be shifting Himmelberg or Dear into defence for a few weeks. Forward line already looked too tall and slow with Dear, Himmelberg and a resting ruck and I think it's a good thing for young key forwards to spend a bit of time down back.

Just seems so obvious especially given our mounting injuries, said the same as you earlier in the thread, thought former Northern Knight youngster Murphy was the only one down back that actually had a decent game. Strange former Calder Cannon Tyson Lever didn't play today given he was named in the extended squad from memory.

I watched it and came away with the following thoughts:

Thommo is done, cooked and should move straight into the coaching box. Just can't get to the contests anymore.
Sigarnello rebounded from 2 early kicking miscues to be very serviceable. Could be a really sneaky late pick.
Dear was disappointing for mine. ROB should be moved into the CHB position and let Hunter and EH ruck.
BJ needs time and got hurt but came back on to continue. Sig also had a problem and left to get treatment but returned.
Greenwood tried hard but Beech showed he is ready to play AFL. Who to displace though? Polholke will play next year. Too raw atm IMO.
Of the top ups I would make sure Lachie Murphy at least made our rookie list. He has some real talent. John Boxer, if he was 10 cms taller he would be on an AFL list. Josh Glenn from CD would be a nice pick as well.
CD were just too big and experienced for us.
Thes are just my thoughts on what I saw on TV today.
