I can't even find a report on this game. Bloody SANFL app doesn't show you?

Little bit disappointing to see that Signarello and Poholke don't seem to be quite at the level so far this year. Poholke especially I was hoping would be pushing 20 touches per game. Any news on how Gooch and Doedee have pulled up?

Jeez, Lachie Murphy seems to have adjusted to SANFL footy pretty quickly. Got to be a shot at a rookie pick, even if it's a ploy to lure over a few more undrafted players to play for the reserves in the next few years.

I went along today but such was the massacre occurring down in Tassie that i was very distracted from the game occurring right in front of me!

Greenwood was good again and would have to be getting close.

No one really absolutely smashed the door down for selection but Gallucci and Poholke both had their moments of good play - they were just outplayed by a very good Eagles side.

When Jarman gets it he is very clean. His supposed lack of pace is greatly exaggerated too. I mean, he's not super fast but his speed is just enough for a bloke his size - at SANFL level anyway at this stage. Whether he's got enough speed for the higher level remains to be seen.

Doedee was solid too i thought on his return from a couple of weeks off. He didn't do a whole lot wrong and used it well most of the time.

wouldn't worry about Sig at this early stage, he was always going to be a project.

Made the right call and went to see my Eagles. Greenwood and Wigg were both excellent. E has something too. My Eagles too good though. Thomo is completely done, and should have retired. A champion of our club, it is sad to see.
The only concern I had with Wiggs game was when the Eagles were on top he went missing a few times did not seem to influence the game at crucial moments. But yes have to agree with Greenwood he tried hard all game.

He certainly would have earned it
I get the feeling there's a bit of trepidation on playing Greenwood because of his lack of footy experience, but he strikes me as a guy who will rise to the level of competition he's against. Plus he's shown he can play a half-forward/midfield role OK, so it's not like he's a one trick pony while Pyke wants adaptable players.

No doubt its a risk playing him, does pyke see him fitting into his game plan, who knows the loss on the weekend could be the opening but I feel pyke will give the team a chance to redeem themselves which is fair enough in a way as its hard to single anyone out in a loss like that

To me there's no doubt he can play a role as a midfielder, but is he a good enough forward to play there predominantly ??

Only one way to find out

I think it's probably more the category b salary cap issue.

Sure Greenwood hasn't played senior football in a while but he played alot of junior football and was a great prospect playing as a midfielder. He therefore has a football brain and natural instincts.

Agree that he will defiitelty rise to the occasion. He's a competitor with great pride and just understands what it takes to be a professional.

I do feel our midfield rotation needs a guy like him.

Wigg, Menzel, Beech, Greenwood, O'Brien can play afl now.

Doedee, Poholke, Gulucci are about year off.

Gore, Hunter currently not good enough.

Team will look better as we get more players back from injury. But reality is we need to keep going to the draft as I feel we are quite thin on developing talent in several areas. This is why I hope that we only trade our first for Gibbs, at most. I have faith that in our recruiters to pull our a gem or two with our 2nd and 3rd round picks.

Doedee would be ready pending fitness.
