Sorry to intrude, but did Kurt break up with his girlfriend? I hadn't heard that.

Ah your back, don't worry if Kurt goes we've still got TexHave to disagree.....we've made it very very clear we want him to stay...the only thing stopping him from staying is and has always been his desire to live in Adelaide....If he really wanted to stay with the Crows he would've signed already....bye bye Kurt
Me either, but can't see how it would make a spec of difference to whether he stays or not. Especially since the Lions are no way near a flag chance.Sorry to intrude, but did Kurt break up with his girlfriend? I hadn't heard that.

Not in the immediate future, no, but that's not all that matters. I know if I was living in a different state away from home, having a girlfriend who lived there would make quite a considerable difference. If I were to then lose that relationship, it would be one less thing keeping me from returning home.
I reckon you're right in that Kurt will be keeping his eye on us and seeing if he thinks we've got potential to be very successful. Ultimately all players do want to win a flag, so it will matter. I just don't think it is the be all and end all that some make it out to be.
I brought up on our board that the concussions may have caused Kurt to re-assess a few things, particularly how soon he wants to return home to play. It's always been a dream of his to end up playing footy back here professionally, and the latest incidents may have him realising that his career won't last forever and the best time to do that might be now.
In saying all that, and despite the news that's come out tonight, I still think he'll stay with Adelaide.
He told you this did he?
Kurt has a local GF:
Crows fans: "One more reason he's staying put!"
Lions fans: "Pfft...irrelevant!"

It is almost like we all see what we wanna see...
I thought it was common knowledge that he always wanted to finish his career up here, and more a matter of whether it would be now or when he's 28/29? That's just the vibe I'd gotten from various interviews he'd done that I'd read though.
He expressed his desire to one day return to the Gold Coast. He said nothing about playing football, and nothing about Brisbane.
I did just look it up and you're right, although the comment would suggest he's keen to return home sooner rather than later. I think this is just nitpicking a bit though, it's clear he has at least a little interest in playing for us. For the third time in as many posts though, I don't think he's leaving Adelaide.
I can't wait til he re-signs, gonna make a shit load of people look like complete idiots.
The other possible reason for looking at Cloke as a contingency is Kurt's recent concussions. If he doesn't come up this week, and struggles to come good (i.e. similar to Stevens), then we may be forced to look at other options, regardless of his contract situation.an interesting development, let me update my my scenario list then.
*Face Palm*Not sure that you won't look like a complete idiot here (sorry). I think he will re-sign but wouldn't put the house on it. Thought he might have done it weeks ago if he was but you never know.
About Cloke, I can't see where he would fit in at the Crows. You guys already have a great forward line with good depth. Mind you I haven't read much of the thread but prehaps this whole Cloke thing is about Tippett? He might be a suitable replacement should Tippett leave otherwise I can't see why you would want Cloke.
Someone tell joel we will rookie him. Fast.
