We're Essendon's bunnies. I'm going to the game with my son. All signs point to Loserville.

No doubt that campaigner Stringer will channel Peter Daicos again and kick goals out of his arse to get them home.

We reserve some of our worst football for Essendon for some reason

Duds who their own fans boo weeks later seem to light it up

I was brimming with confidence after Saturday's more freed up playing style but seeing our ultra-conservative selections has me worried that we'll revert to timid Crows.
Thinks we have lost something like our last 7 games against them.

We are long overdue!

Stringer has been pretty good this year tbf.

No Wright helps, he's towelled us up in the last two games he's played against us.

Like most Crows supporters, I am not convinced that we have turned the corner (or are anywhere near the corner). We were very lucky to get the win last week but hopefully something clicks.

Essendon is as flaky as the 2024 Crows so anything could happen, big win, narrow win, narrow loss, big loss. It will require a bottle of red per person at the pregame BBQ so we can “enjoy” the game in a relaxed fashion.

We have at least 8 players that should be dropped according to our Bigfooty Experts so there will be plenty of players and coaches to blame if things don’t go well.

Were the Big Footy experts right re our game plan and midfield set up in rounds 1-4 or were the Adelaide Coaching experts and Big Footy fanbois?

Not confident. Last time we played them they pulled some Harlem globetrotter shit out of their ass and ruined our season then went on to be the worst team in the league.

Got a pretty poor recent record against Essendon so yeah gotta give it our best tonight. I do not care if it is at home or on the road. Without Crouch who was in the wrong place at the wrong time last weekend, it won't be easy.

I will never forget the last home game vs Essendon in 2019, the team getting booed off the ground after an ugly loss on a Friday night where we had a dreadful game in front of goal (kicked 10.15 with 5 rushed behinds vs 15.6) and threw away a huge lead up by 30. Essendon finished 8th but West Coast destroyed them and Adelaide dropped 5 of 6 it was end of an era for the team.

When Essendon beat us last year, they were knocking on the top 4 door but their season went into freefall after that. These two teams at their best are great to watch, at their worst not so pretty.

Its going to be interesting to see how much time and effort the Don's put into Rankine after 1 match as a 65:35 mid.

It wouldn't surprise me if he's got substantially closer attention in the middle, especially when the ball is forward of centre. Watching last weeks game back the Blue's gave him almost no respect last week. Highly doubt he will be that lose again this week.

Not sure how much it matters with players like Izak are in the zone. But the attention should still be tighter.
