When Essendon were dominant for 3 qtrs last week, they were winning the ground ball contest and players like ND influence was being limited
If we can win the ground ball contest it won’t only minute ND influence on the game but it will also create more opportunities for Dawson, Izak, Sig and Rachele to have a great influence
There was a reason why the great Phil Walsh said ground ball contest was the most important stat in the game, this will be evident in todays outcome

They are saying Sidebottom out.... thats big too
that doesn't matter. What matters is winning and losing, where you are on the ladder after round 7 is irrelevant. Just because there's little change doesn't change that. Come the end of the year it matters because there's a difference between getting double chances and home finals. But where we exist on the ladder doesn't matter right now. And history isn't much of a guide because the AFL has recently fixtures teams to play against their contemporaries more often early in the season. So the lesser sides will have better starts to their years.

Yes, because it would only ever be complacency that is the cause for the streak to break. I guess that's why the streaks never get going in the first place.
I expect Schoey to be sub and if Laird misses, Crouch will go into the 22.
what does your crew think about Sidebottom potentially playing despite being ill enough to have to travel seperate from the rest of the group. Surely can't play if experiencing any flu symptoms.
you'd think you'd have to hold back one in case of an injury during warm up. So 23 plus an emergency.
hopefully he's been injured, otherwise he's been very poor and not up to AFL standard this year so far.
