are there any major ins and outs for next season?
also are there any coaching changes to each of the teams
I follow local footy in wyndham and am a regular on commenting on all of the local forums about my regions chances. I hear from down here that Westbourne are set to be a powerhouse. They think their chances last season were ruined by injury and a slow start to the year.Time will tell. I hear a big fella from bacchus marsh is set to slot into a much needed spot in the ruck. Also the new assistant coach is apparently Johns from another local country club out this way(centrals i believe) and may have a few old team mates with him.And may have Hutton back on board.Anyone closer to the club have more info or want to comment on this if im right or wrong

Gday Griff, I used to play at Salesian back in 2002, mainly reserves, only cracked the seniors for two games and was used sparingly off the bench. :p Are guys like Oldy, Azza and Razza, Johnny Nannes, Gracie, Egg etc still at the club and having a kick?

John Nannes got me out to Salesian as I used to work with him at CGU.

Hope things are still going well at the club post-merger, I enjoyed my time as a Gryphon!

Hey J-Train!

Oldy, Az & Raz still playing at the club, Oldy actually assistant coach this year. Johnny has had a few games in the clubbies over the past couple of years, just a bit of fun for him. Dont see Gracie & Egg around alot but they do come down every now and then!

The Bentleigh 2's were thanking their lucky stars in 2009 that Johnny Nannes was only having a bit of fun in the Clubbies & not the Reserves. Seemed to tear Bentleigh a new one each game he played for Salesian, in either 1s or 2's!

Yeah he goes alright Johnny!! You wouldn't think it to look at him!!!

CJ & KK? Huh? You're going to have to dumb it down a bit for me? Please use full names for us slow blokes

Kellaway fell ill last year which landed him in hospital, not sure if he'll play on, but I hope he does, not likely though.
I wont say because these things get talked about to much on here and I dont want to bring it up til we know its happening. if you ar a bentleigh person Im sure you will find out soon enough through the club if these recruits are coming down. I would have the dees finishing top 4 if either of these blokes playes the majority of the season though so it could be exciting for your lads.
hopefully for your sake kellaway plays again and gets more games in. stepping up the grade wont be easy as you know and he will be handy. Im interested to see how he goes these days too

can any1 tell me when is the fixture usually released?

I think I've worked out one of the names.

KK - Would that be the initials of Kris Kringle?

These same rumours float around every year, for some reason Bannister always draws a lot of attention. I will wait for some evidence before coming to any conclusions.

How's everyone's training going so far?

Probably draws attention because he's just about the only player in the division who could make a mark in A grade. And lossing such a player let alone a 100+ goal kicker is probably the biggest talking point of the off season!

Anyone seen a copy of the fixture yet? Sure am glad that were not travelling as much this year. Will save alot in petrol!

Where is pacco anyway?

A good round 1. With the six teams for D2 2009 playing against each other and the promoted sides playing the relegated sides. Should give us a good indication of where teams will be at compaired to last year.

My boys at Glen Eira should be happy with their draw. Play rounds 1 and 18 at home (we have not had a home round 18 game for a number of years)!

I've noticed that Snipers boys have got a strange draw alot of playing 2 home games then 2 away games!

Still cant see why we can play teams in the same order as order 1-9 to 10-18? Anyone know why they do this?

___________________________________________________________

Yeah it is a little weird. I never had a draw like it since I've been playing, but I quite like it. I think it will be advantageous for us, travelling wise.

For those who care, round by round, suburb by suburb it goes a little something like this:
Bentleigh,
Bentleigh,
Burwood,
Bundoora,
Bentleigh,
Glen Iris,
Heidelberg,
Bentleigh,
Bentleigh,
Carnegie,
Eltham,
Bentleigh,
Bentleigh,
Truganina
Oak Park,
Bentleigh,
Benteigh,
Prahran

Long story short, we have two home games, followed by a close away game, before a long trip, rather than home game then a far away game etc. I like it, bring on 2010!!
