dont worry bout him too much mate, anyone can read the results on the vafa website write a 2 line description based on that info whilst substituting in 'witty' names for each team and think theyre great. but it is a bit on the boring side these days, would much prefer a synopsis from rooster or marching.

Pocket Rocket you moron.

At least I contribute SOMETHING to this forum. All you can do is spend 2 minutes writing a 2 line insult and you think you are contributing.

Be respectful, or contribute something more insightful and valuable yourself.

Or is it beyond you???

sorry chief, didn't intend to get your panties all twisted i was more commenting to the other guy u had a go at for no reason at all. respect is given to those who give it to others.

you are right, u do take the time to write something substantial and contribute and in that sense good on you.
however it has been observed that there is a growing disillusionment with your posts by many others, they are mildly comical at the start of the yr but now all u do is recycle the same nicknames and recap the very obvious. there is no insight, analysis or real interest. i myself don't claim to write with those traits, or to the volume of yourself, but thats fine. the simple fact is you are now behind a few posters:
insight & analysis: nikko & rooster
comical value: waferknuckles & marching

im sure there are many people who do still enjoy ur posts so keep them coming, ill always read them. i just look forward to those of others more.

Bigwaz, where you been hiding? on the spaceship that landed on mars?? Some shocking selections there mate. I am not going to comment on your Willy vs Uni High selection as that would be unfair, but selecting Elsternwick to beat Hawthorn who had 48 scoring shots last week and St.Johns to beat Eltham who have been the only team to show something against Willy is rediculous!
Any thoughts on a half-way team of the year?

I think you'll find Pisani made those picks... not me... I'm with you dude.

Don't worry about the knockers, Dee. As many others have said...you are doing a bang-up job. Keep up the good work!

Nikko,
Hope you got my flowers?

Marching,
Your Nostradamus predictions aren't going too well and your 1/5 tips last week? Any changes in predictions this week???

Dee Three,
Been good so far and very amusing, but need some new stuff for a big 2nd half of the season. Predicting big things so look out everyone!

Rooster,
Looking forward to the Midseason updated odds & review. Always good reading!

Dogmat,
Agree entirely with your review and thanks for not giving out too much info, will be a tough return game on the smaller ground and we look forward to it.

Melb Madness,
Key Players for each club in my opinion are:

Williamstown - D.Lee, C.Taylor, C.Wheeler, B.***** although C.Elliott, M.Lishman, J.Wong & B.Hynes seem to be the new breed coming up?
Hawthorn - D.Lauletta, R.Ogge, C.Simpson but have never played them though so going on hear say.
St Johns - C.Cacchia, S.Peake, B.Pickering & L.Mara has been in the best a bit but not sure who he is.
Monash - N.Rutherford, L.Wells, C.Leeton, L.Dooley.
UHS VU - L.Gorringe, M.Mora, S.Cracknell, M.DiCiero.
Powerhouse - P.Edwards, P.Sosic, M.Driessen.
Elsternwick - S.Grace, N.Hodskiss and although he didn't play against us C.Mahony from all reports.
La Trobe - D.Sheldrick, S.Staunton has been the difference in results from his few games, B.Hunt, S.McNamarra & T.Ludeman if he plays.
Swinburne - D.Lyons, D.Beattie, L.Dalton.

Tips this week:
Eltham
Williamstown
Powerhouse
Monash
Hawthorn

Good Luck to all on the weekend as I enjoy the beautiful Surroundings that St Johns have to offer!!!

I noticed you missed Daniel Moore for La Trobe. Small Forward who kicked 4 when we played them and nearly won it for them

Doctors report.

Patient Nikkoteen (Menthol to his mates) is not responding to standard human pain killers. I have therefore contacted Debbie from highly successful show Animal Rescue seeking advice.

Advice recived included Fresh straw and water every day, mandatory Cone thingy that rabies dogs wear on their head and a big case of harden the fcuk up. Wafer suffered a triple fracture of the leg prior to the Legends of Top Shelf Athletes invitational Games staged in Helsinki recently. After rigging up a splint consisting of standard firewood and T-shirt strips he took out the decathlon in a games record.

In a serious tone though i say good luck in the recovery nikko, i`m sure you will still be there game day. I hope all your mates in the rodent enclosure rally around and make life a little easier in the rehab period.

To all scribes,

thank you for providing me with some reading entertainment so far this year. i am a just a ressies player at a D3 club. i have recently had my knee reconstructed after completely tearing my acl in round one and am facing a full year on the sidelines and it already not even a month after my op is so frustrating not being able to be out there. although i sing the team song after a win i dont feel part of it.

to some scribes - dee three keep up your work your posts are always and interesting read and rooster who obviously works in job where he can be at a computer all day and pretend to work your odds are great value and i look forward to them each and every week.

thanks again lads for keeping me entertained.

cheers

I know it has nothing to do with Ammos D3, but the football world is poorer today for the loss of a true gentleman in the "Galloping Gasometer" Mick Nolan. RIP big fella.

does any1 think uhs can stop willi?

From what i hear willy has injuries to a few players most notably there captain. Based on past performances i would say NO, because they have the depth to cover losses as has been shown so far, but eltham were almost beaten by elsternwick at home, so its not impossible for a good team to have a bad day, i think the key is having the legs at the end of the game where they seem to do very well!!

I'll give this a crack:

1. The D3 Scribe. The bloke needs to hire a proof reader
2. There was a bloke playing for eltham 2s who looked like a keg sitting on top of a fridge.
3. Lee Wells
4. Ruckman for Powerhouse aka Jesus on Acid
5. Monash. the tuckshop bloke is a masterful chef and a gentleman
6. Too early to call. Need to see the other teams. Latrobe had a good one
7. Pretty happy with the season so far.
8. Dont want to make this call. Maybe i'll just say "myself". I will award the 'Persian Rug' award to the St Johns home ground. I've heard Lesbians have been seen just munching on the grass after mistaking it for carpet.

Funniest moment I've seen this year was last week when a grossly overweight forward from St. Johns ressies left the field of play during the last quarter to have a piss on the fence. Even funnier still was that he was pissing for about 60 seconds while the whole crowd on the hill were yelling at the Hawthorn player to 'man up'!
Where's a camera when you need one? That would have been an Almost Footy Legends finalist fo sure!

On to my tips for this week:

Uni High v Williamstown CYMS

Willy will win. Only interest in the margin. I say 74 points.

La Trobe v Powerhouse

Big danger game for the House as their record on the road this season has been poor. Saying that, La Trobe aren't much chop. Should be close. Powerhouse by 5 points.

Elsternwick v Hawthorn

Once again, a danger game for Hawthorn, but Elsternwick are sure to struggle without C Mahony. Going to go for the Wicks in an upset as I still don't rate the Hawks. Elsterwick by 4 points.

Swinburne v Monash

These two clubs have always played pretty close games and I expect this to be no exception. Swinny have been improving as the season goes on, while Monash badly need the four points to stay in touch with the top four. Monash by 19 points.

St Johns v Eltham

Jocs are hard to beat at home and should be able to maintain their excellent home record especially if Coach Hollywood is missing. St Johns by 34 points.

Where has Rooster gone?

Still waiting for this week's odds!

1 - Umpires
2 - Agree, bloke from Eltham twos.
3 - Tough one as we havent really come across any 'guns' as we did last year.
4 - Dave Lee. On his day, he doesnt drop a mark
5 - Latrobe by the length of a Hot Dog. Rumor doing the rounds 4 years ago is that 2 of our two's forwards breathed in 6 hot dogs after their game. I can confirmed it did happen as i was a witness.
6 - Latrobe. Same game as above. Helped with the weather been 3 degrees. Sth Melb last year had a good one - one of our senior players picked up the canteen ladys daughter. great effort.
7 - Very close this year. Willy have too many 'even' players with not many standouts. Saying that, Dave Lee would be up there.
