Did edwards play for the House on Saturday?

Will he be able to come back for the Monash game this weekend? (He did kick 13 vs them just a couple of weeks ago)

Now that every team has seen each other I would say that OW are the team to beat, but in no way unbeatable. Wouldnt want to play the wicks if they can get a full team back.

It doesn't need to be mentioned - show some respect. The dog who should rot in hell should not be even named in the same sentence as Chris. I just find it very immature and inappropriate on your behalf and that of anyone else mentioning it. Fair enough if someone shares a famous persons name but please show some common decency. You may not of started it but you're just as bad as the person who first mentioned it.

your a deadshiit.. deadshiiit!!

You'd have to say that if he does play against them, he'll kick them straight into D4 for 2008??

Anyone care to comment on Monash ?

They were competitive on the weekend : 21.6 to 18.5 against the hawks is not the worst going around.

Plenty left in this season me thinks .....for all clubs.

Point taken Fellas. Shouldn't have brought up the issue seeing how disgraceful the events were. Didn't realise it would upset so many. just read the VAFA website and thought i'd post the 'play on words' nothing more.

And for the record, I am one of Chris Hudson's (Old Westbournes) mates as someone questioned.

Sorry Lads!

For what its worth here's my team of the half year.

Would happily include more defenders on suggestion but they get very little mention on this forum or in general which makes it hard to identify who the good defenders are!

yes most of the team is OW because i know theyve had great years, and if in doubt I've gone with players i watch and play alongside each week.

Also i dont claim to know every player out there but have tried to include players that did well or stood out when they played against us. (including at least one from each team)

I apologise for using "tower" instead of his real name but i dont know it.

I dont however apologise for having so many OW players in the side because i honestly think they all deserve it, and believe theres a few stiff not to make it to be honest.

Before you bag mine, try putting together your own. It's easy to pick apart someone elses, but much harder to try it yourself.

Good luck all!

Seems fair berzerk, hard to judge when you've only seen each team once, so no criticism from me (i can't even remember most players names). Only one point, and its fair to say they all deserve to be in it, but 5 big guys in the forward 6?? Perhaps S Grace in a pocket?

Good suggestion ... but who do you drop coach???

theyve all had great years, and Hutton (OW) was stiff to be left out in the first place!

Happy to slot S Grace in somewhere though. he didnt play against us so i havent seen him first hand!

Any suggestions for backmen?

Fair enough to get so many OW players in as they have been the stand out team but it's a bit rich to pick yourself!!!

also not sure about picking Mahoney at Full Back as he is an on baller

Pavez on the bench has only played a few games according to the website. They must have been rippers.

Mahoney played fullback against us and kept Jeka pretty quiet. Thats why i picked him there.

Feel free to replace me with someone more worthy when you submit YOUR team!

And pavez is and has been outstanding. But your correct. Maybe hasnt played enough to qualify? Would add Baxter from Monash if he was ommitted.

not a bad team there beserk, that is some forward line. Pavez and Hudson are no doubt great players, but Pavez has played 4 gamed and hudson 5, have they really played that well in these games to warrant team of the half year selection?

Hudson has been outstanding in all his games with us. A dominant presence across half forward and can pinch hit in the ruck too! I'd want him in the team if i was playing!

Pavez was slow to get back into things after injuring his hand, but has been back to brilliant best on the last 2 or 3 weeks. Agree he may have played less than the minimum required?

Who replaces them?

Any changes you'd make akka?

Probably short a Ruckman to help out Tower from the Hawks -( Fit Elsternwick Ruckman would be handy).

The site of Eddoooo!! and Higgooo!! in the one side reminds me of a great day at the 'G' when the mighty Vics crushed a hapless SA .........:thumbsu:

Pretty quiet on this forum over the last couple of days, what's going on?

So here are my tips for this week;

The House to beat Monash by 25 points (is Edwards playing this week Chimp?, will he beat the 13 he kicked a few weeks ago against the Gryphs??)
Ivanhoe to beat Swinny by 11 points (2 bandwagons have hit their straps - match of the round)
Wicks to beat Hawthorn by 18 points (upset of the week and unlucky not to be match of the round)
OW to beat La Trobe by 47 points (have exams finished yet for these students?)
WB to beat Kew by 21 points (can the magpies respond after OW pumping?)

Good luck all....

Greetings from Thailand !! An early lunch and a Chang in hand - not a bad gig!!

ETE - Eddoooo !!! not sure fella - ask someone at their club;)

Monash over the house - 21 points
Ivanhoe over swinney - just - 4 points.
Hawks by a few over E-wicks - 18 points
OW to continue on it's merry way - 40 over the Students.
WB by 17 over a still injury plagued Kew.

P.S. Sang Som and Red bull are a combination not to be tampered with.

Wellsy from Monash apparently plays his 200th game for the club this week too. So I think they have more incentive to win for arguably their best ever player at the club...:thumbsu:

Been away for a couple of weeks folks, but this competition still has nothing between teams 4-10.

Monash to beat Powerhouse by 23pts (They have played some pretty decent football in recent weeks and will rise to salute Wellsy)
Ivanhoe over Swinny by 25pts (Hoes are the 'real deal')
Hawthorn over Elst by 31 (Hawks have too strong a forward line)
OW over Latrobe by 57pts (Only complacency will beat Westbourne)
Kew over Westies by 11pts (Last chance for Kew otherwise D4 beckons)

Good luck to all...
