With Lombard tipped to go around 10, what exactly is the point in giving up pick 6??
In normal situations like this, the buying club gets a pick in BEFORE the academy bid is projected. You might see something like 6 used to draft a quality player, then say for example Lombard is bid on at 11, they would use the pick 17 or even some later picks to match him. Send 13 to Richmond for Rioli.
The net result would be:
IN - pick 6, Rioli, Lombard.

Now they will just get Rioli, Lombard and the later R1 picks will be burned up matching Lombard.

Are these people stupid or what?
It's tigers fans believing that suns cant get it done without that pick. Suns have Lukosius coming out too. Wouldn't be surprised if they get 25 out of the deal for him. They can trade 25 & 26 for 19 & 56 from the swans.

13, 19, 20 to tigers for Rioli, 39 & 41.

Mail is Richmond are the ones pushing this trade not Gold Coast. Gold Coast have 3x 1st round picks currently so they have a strong draft hand and looking to trade Lukosius back to SA losing his back ended contract. Richmond want to hit this draft and next hard to have majority of rebuild done before Tassie enters the comp.
That is factually incorrect

Came here for stallon's ranting and raving.

Will likely win Richmond’s BnF this year too.
One of the worst sides in AFL history? Hardly the flex you think it is.

How many AA has Rioli won?
25 year old Lachie Neale was traded for pick 6 and 19 with 30 also coming back to freo and you guys think 27 yo Dan Rioli is worth 6 and 20?

So Dan Rioli at 27 is worth more than a dual Brownlow medalist on baller 🙄

More like wishful thinking, so many oppo fans having a personal meltdown right now.
And its mostly the other shit teams seeing how we about to do a 5 year rebuild in 5 minutes, BEST 😂

To land Rioli.....

Even if Suns weren't keen on Rioli it'd be risky to go into the draft with pick 6 hoping Lombard didn't get bid on before that. With the early Ashcroft bid 6 will become 7. A bid by Dees at 6 by Dees would be a disaster that can be avoided.

Keep your powder dry, just because Twomey mentioned pick 6 doesn’t mean that’s the deal, on gettable last week he admitted pick 6 was overs
You need to pay overs to get players out of a club that are contracted long term. It's not that hard to understand.

It’s just as well for you guys that it’s the BF posters from Richmond in here that will be doing the negotiations then.

Pick 11 and 20 is overs for Rioli.

Never mind pick 6.

Suns likely get more picks as well trading out players.

Suns would be nuts to give up pick 6, it means they are unlikely get a player before Lombard. They would be better off trading up, this makes no sense at all.

It is possibly good for North though, if we want to split pick 2 and take a tall first. Richmond may be after pick 2 so they can take both Jagga and Finn. They would need something like 6 and 12 to get it done.

Think thread can be closed. With GC targeting John Noble this one aint going anywhere. Suspect Rioli told everyone he aint moving a few months ago and everyones moved on except for BF posters
