thoughts on going after mitch robinson or jeff garlett guys? robinson is a big mid, although may not fit into a no dickhead policy. may benefit from a change of scene? garlett quick though possibly flakey attitude?
Robinson - No way
Garlett - only for peanuts

I actually like Robinson, would provide us with plenty of d***headishness that Ballantyne provides to Freo. Concerned about his off-field stuff, though.

Would definitely take Garlett.

Wonder if we'd consider Andrew McInnes as depth for the backline, was delisted by the Blues. Seemed handy whenever I'd seen him play, though that was a pretty limited sample. EDIT: Did his knee this year or last? May hurt his chances of being taken by someone.

Don't think we have the list space for Garlett to be honest. Would entertain the idea if we delist Hill and got him for very little. I would like to see Karpany given a few games next year instead of playing either of them.

The thing I like about de goey is the potential to be an inside/outside mid with that bit of size we need. Take your point about tackles and his disposal numbers aren't ideal, but you can coach that stuff to some extent. But yeah maybe doesn't have the class of an ahern or pickett.

I think simmo will be after hard nosed mids who have a real crack and put there head over the ball he has said that's what he wants in his player's I don't think de goey is that player,

Mitch Robinson told by Carlton today he will be traded. There is rival interest in the forward. Story on http://AFL.com.au soon.

The Gold Coast SUNS have advised five players that their contracts would not be renewed next season as part of the club’s review process in preparation for the 2015 season.

Senior players Jackson Allen, Jack Hutchins, Jeremy Taylor and Matthew Warnock and rookie Leigh Osbornewere each informed of the club's decision during their individual review meetings.

Man, I'd have to say I disagree with almost everything in this post. Agree he's fast in straight lines (you seem to state this as a negative and I'll infer you actually mean that he's slow when not going straight...), but for a 6'5" guy can keep up agility-wise with 5'10 guys is pretty special. Ball in hand, no worse than most KPD. Bennell wouldn't be in the top 3 at his club (GAJ, Swallow, JOM, Prestia ahead) performance wise, I could say Mitch Brown has the potential to be the best KPD in the game.

And you would be incredibly wrong. He doesn't even have the potential to be the best on our list.

Bennell is better performed than Swallow and JOM just fwiw.

Wow, I thought Warnock was their only decent KPD... I'd definitely be offering one of ours for one of their good young mids.

I'll be emotive about these two.

They're utter tripe, better suited to land fill. We shouldn't and won't touch either of these duds.

You don't reckon Garlett would have a role to play in our side?

Between 2010-2013 he kicked 39, 48, 29 and 43 goals in each season. We don't have a small forward on the list close to this sort of output.

Draft wise given Waterman will most likely be drafted and Sheed selected last year, i really hope we go for a player with elite speed and flair, Laverde might be a reach now but i think Pickett is a good chance to be available with our first pick.

I don't like this word but de goey is a bit of what they call Vanilla has a decent kick but for a midfielder of his size he wont and cant tackle is that what we really want ?

Tackling is Degoey's weakness but shouldn't prevent wce drafting .He can learn to throw his weight around and tackle easy enough .His kicking and marking are strong enough points but would like him to test good in endurance .

With this talk of Beams going to Brisban, I hope we are throwing the kitchen sink at hime considering he is willing to leave Collingwood.

I know he would be returning home to play with his bro but still, Mitch Clark was supposed to be returning home.

Where did this rumour come from?
