Reckon there will be a clean out this year. Simmo has seen what we haven't got and it'll be goodbye; Smith, Brennan, Wilson, Butler, McGinnity, and McInnes at the top of my head.

Waters will retire.

At the moment if Cox gets to 300 they will be gifted games at the end.

It would take Kennedy (exactly what fremantle need) and Mackenzie (probably our best player) and maybe a midfielder for Fremantle to make the deal. They'd be more likely just try and lure Kennedy away with money. Think of it as trading Judd when he was 23. Fyfe is so far Fremantle's best player they just wouldn't give him up. Lets aim at more attainable targets.

But honestly, going for champions is too costly- we should be looking at players that are missing games in the best teams. Like who's a fringe player in Sydney's midfield? Would probably go straight into our starting 18.

True but Sydney are advanced on us in the midfield. Their fringe is a few steps above ours.

We said the same about Collingwood when going after Wellingham so no guarantee T.Mitchell will be A grade for us.
We just need a bit of luck. In form players would help A LOT.

Sydney have added Tippett and buddy and it hasn't cost them anything apart from salary cap . They got to keep their picks and added depth to their list ! They also got Mitchell top 10 pick F/S and fill there rookie list with academy players others don't get the same access to ! Plus Cola they are given a magic carpet ride in the afl

This has left them with possibly the best seconds side in the comp with quality players not being able to break into the side .
The time has come for the other afl teams to raid their depth players pay them more than Sydney can due to their big outlays offer them opportunity and bend them over a barrel .
Tom Mitchell would be getting a game every week for every other team . I think we have no chance of getting him but there are others !

Harry marsh has been groomed as a big bodied mid in the Kennedy mould . He is his training partner and first to be called up to take his place if injury strikes . Kennedy hasn't missed a game in 4 years .
An article at the start of the season said how highly they rate marsh . He is out of contract and we could make him an offer to walk .
Tall 189cm big bodied mid with power and great burst of speed from stoppages . Very good mark with a great leap and above average kicking skills
This is who we should target could use a third/forth rounder !

As opposed to the quality we have now?... We can draft experienced vfl,wafl or sanfl players who would be more handy than most on that list... It's part of the problem that the club caused by only delisting 3 players a year. Players earning good money for no performance.

Rosa should be kept. He is a useful senior player. We shouldn't get rid of all of them at once anyway.
Mcinnes is worth keeping at this point I would think.
Cox could potentially be put on the rookie list just as pure ruck backup if we get a lot of injuries. Also be ruck coach.

The rest can go.

This is all hypothetical of course. I really do not think he would make the difference to our team that people are hoping. A David Mundy, David Swallow type would be nice. Dangerfield, O'Meara.. more effectual I reckon.

He has good physical attributes and determination . His faults are disposal and composure and from what I have read they are improving !
Would delist smith and McGinnity first
Wilson lacks physical attributes that leaves him vulnerable at afl level ( height / pace) for the position he plays
