Don't get the Lucas hate, honestly he's an upgrade on Dalziell, which isn't saying much, and will cost less too.

He's an average player but if we can get him for the right price there's a fair bit of upside.

I reckon our right price and carlton's right price would be streets apart.

Agree completely, played well this year until he fell out of favour late, needs to brush up his kicking, but he is > shep & dalziell

There has been some interest in Robbie Nahas from West Coast, none from Carlton. It's early interest at this stage and they expect more enquiries over the next week or so.

Have fun with this spud :D

Nahas/Lucas feel like spewing::thumbsdown: West Coast have small man syndrome and we are bendin over to get Yeo. “My ideas aren't afraid of height.”

I don't mind Nahas for a really late pick. Was decent in 2011/12
Nahas is terrible and would be a ridiculous pick up. Strongly suspect it has to be a rumour.

i suggested a few months ago we should trade a.smith for nahas. kane249 quickly said it was a bad suggestion. looks a possibility to get nahas now. actually don't really want him

Still is a bad suggestion, it's replacing one spud with another

Gaff has the following strengths.

- his tank is elite from day dot.
- he reads the play and runs where he's needed
- he can run, carry, and use it effectively.

That's a really nice natural package which only a moron would think is commonplace in a draftee. Its not particularly spectacular to watch, but 15+ beep test players with good football brains kill the opposition over 4 quarters.

At an absolute minimum he's a Chad Fletcher or Michael Braun, but given how immediately he produced big numbers, he genuinely could be as good as Cousins- people forget Cousins was for a long time a fairly one paced, fairly outside midfielder who racked up big possession counts and was susceptible to hard tags.

Man i hope you're right. Football just isnt the same without Cuz...

It probably is rubbish, however WC's version of low cost value add trades/mature rookies, is to pick up fringe spuds unlikely to play a match.

We need a serious turnover of the recruiting department if we do the same again in 2013.

Xavier Ellis being tested at Freo today after Gumbleton flew to Perth to meet with them on Tuesday. Hopefully we'll see movement next week.

I have wondered why we are not making a play for Ellis...maybe Simpson knows the extent of Ellis's injuries and think he wont get any better.

Ellis and Gumbleton? Freo's health premium just went through the roof!
