I'm sure that can be discussed in detail on the RDT thread. ;)

Hopefully some real trade news starts to break in the next few days, otherwise it's going to be a long 2 weeks. :D
It's more like a month isn't it?

I think we should sign Gary Ablett, but not trade more than a second rounder because he's not that good but I still want him, but he's still not that good that we should have to give up a first rounder. But he is good enough that I want him.

So our predicament is we have a lot of cap space that needs to be filled and a need for midfielders ! We can probably pick up 2 in the draft but they would not be at a quality consistent output until they have 50+ games . Why not try pick up a couple of older free agents short term while we have cash to burn at have a crack at the flag next year !
Dalsanto on a 2 year deal throw a big front loaded contract at him that he can't refuse ! Great foil for gaff and shuey and instantly adds polish and class to our mids , has leadership in spades !
Chapman on a 1 year deal bit of class off half forward/ midfield kicks goals and can have an impact in finals !
If we have the cash why not they don't compromise our picks and that experience around the club with a different coach could add the spark we need !
All we lose is 2 list spots

Unfortunately stopped doing undergrad law degrees and its take your pick of the rest really.

Anyway, I think someone mentioned competition for White, I would say that's fair. http://www.news.com.au/sport/afl/po...agent-matt-white/story-fnfll94y-1226730302701 .. hopefully we're having a look too even if we do our usual sssh routine.
I studied and tutored at Murdoch, sick of the damn place now...

In terms of trading I'm think we'll be quiet, again, but then the whole Morton thing last year seemed to catch everyone by surprise. If nothing else it kept things interesting.

Wait, so the FA compo wont be sorted until there is only 4 days left of the trade period? This is going to massively hold up trades or cause clubs to gamble on the compo they expect to receive.

Has there been any news recently on our interest in Yarran? For me he would be a good addition to the side in the role of half back, as it would force the opposition to either tag Yarran, thereby freeing up Hurn, or vice versa. If the opposition opts to tag both, then their half forward line is likely to be diluted in potency.

Whilst I recognise that Yarran's contract expires next year I'm not confident that he won't have signed another contract with Carlton. What we would have to pay for him I'm not sure; perhaps offer Priddis and attempt to sign both Matt White and Colin Sylvia in order to cover or provide midfield depth. Hutchings could also be given an opportunity to step into the role of inside mid

You'll fit right in :thumbsu:

Yeo is the trade im most keen for. Apparently he wants to come home pretty bad as the rumor goes so we can trade for him on the cheap. If we play hard ball we could get him for a third rounder maybe. would add pace and skill.

Wouldn't mind if we used smith and Rosa as trade bait to get some extra draft picks.

Went to Curtin myself. As ugly a campus as 100 ugly things. Especially ironic considering the planning and architecture building was one of the worst aesthetically and the least functional.:eek:o_O
Half the engineering building at UWA collapsed in the hail storm a few years back. :thumbsu:

Exited about Yeo. Docherty has put his hand up for Carlton. I think he likes the idea of being handcuffed and force fed grog on a boat.
