COL is a god damn joke. There are multiple studies that all give different results on which cities are the most expensive in AU with Perth, Brisbane, Sydney and Melb all being up there. The difference is not significant enough and proven enough to be handing out a 9.8% to just one of the above cities which is worth about 900k a year (enough to sign a superstar now free agency is in).
Does Adelaide get a reduction for having a lower CPI.

still, I'm not against further cuts. With 3 upgrades I wouldn't mind 4 picks/trades in the nd.

This is the most ridiculous trade idea I have heard in a while.

Buddy's move was never about the money. If it was he would be at GWS. The man clearly wants out of Melbourne where he probably can't even go for a walk to the corner deli to get a bottle of milk and a newspaper without being accosted. At first this was probably appealing, especially the ladies throwing themselves at you, but once you are older and wiser (like he is now) it wears thin. He clearly has friends inn Sydney, and likes Sydney. The fact that he could walk around and go out unnoticed would appeal to him. Clearly there was/is zero point in us throwing money at him. Perth = Melb in a footy sense, and even worse for the fishbowl type environment.
I read in our wk end paper some comments from Crawford that Buddy wouldn't go to GWS because the extra money was contingent on onerous promotional duties, and apparently Buddy gave back a 100K free car after being told the catch was he needed to do a few days prmotional duties

I think it did for a bit.
Particularly when there are advantages to going to Sydney, such as the reduced media focus, better weather, more to do, etc....

Buddy is the best forward in the league, he had a down year with injury and still put a year together most forwards would kill for.
Agree to disagree. Jack's stats are better than Franklin's at the same stage of career.( That is all we can go on) Plus the pressure he creates, turnovers, can not be underestimated. 3rd tall or not is irrelevant.
Sinclair, Nic or coxy with Josh, jack, hill And lecca ? F... Buddy.

Agree - and sometimes you've got to take one step back to take two steps forward.
Anyway, it's purely hypothetical what I said it'll never happen, and really I love Jack and don't want it to happen.
But something along those lines are the sort of trades that need to occur to actually get quality where we need it.
I reckon he has the most talent. But I don't think he is that important to winning games as his rep would lead some to think. Hawthorn are a better team without him or with him as a role player.
He seems to stuff a lot of good team play up by screaming for a ball to be sat on his head forgetting he can't mark like Cloke. He can do the freakish as well as anyone but seems completely out of sync with the rest of the team. Hawthorn will do very well out of losing Buddy.
