Yeah I'm not big on using rookie picks on other clubs failed projects. Rookie picks are there to be used on bold speculative young kids.

To be fair, it was Wallace that asked Mahoney on Trade Radio about Gaff and Shuey because they heard rumours. It's possible that the Selwood rumour hadn't reached their ears. Nothing to suggest his name was deliberately left out. In fact you'd think if they had heard anything Wallace/Barrett would have definitely probed the question.

He'd be evaluating every clubs list each week as an assistant at Hawthorn anyway, so he'd have some idea of those that had played afl recently. he'll learn about the others as he goes.

Yep he is but he also isn't worth anything near pick 6. He would have to demand a trade to us and Carlton let him go this year for something rather than risk losing him for nothing next year. It's unlikely I know, but would be nice.

Won't happen, but I think Yarran + their first for 6 and 24 would be about right.
