With that and CPL losing by 20 goals it looks very ugly for Barnsey and the club now . 3 years in and not looking good

First of all idiot, who is barnesey?? He is no longer president or have any role at the club and second of all, 3 years in and not looking good. Im pretty sure cpl are looking ok, both the ones and twos made the granny in 2013 and 2014 and both ones and twos played finals last year....! Hows that a club not looking good 3 years in??? I bet hallam, dandy, e/hills and sandown wish they had a 3 year previous period like cpl have had. So things arnt looking good so far this year bit ya cant be at the top allthe time. What club do you follow in sfl divvy 3???

Carrum will finish bottom 3 this year. Terrible president and terrible recruiting and lost 12 gun players. They wont kick more than 8 goals a match as they have no forwards.
Top 3:
Eagles
Mount
E/hills or ashwood

I'm confused. Based on your previous post you slander them in one post then support them in another so I think we know who the idiot is. You virtually agree that the club is in danger and when someone else States it you are critical. Barnsey still weilds a lot of pull down there. Great bloke

Who is barnsey? You ask. He's the guy that didn't let the club lose by 100+ points

Congrats to our coach bradles on his first win in his first game a senior coach

Basically was just stating for all that barnesy isnt president anymore and he is a top bloke and everyone wishes he was still president, and that cpl yes will struggle this year but ya cannot say they arnt looking good 3 years in because cpl have the runs on the board in years gone by and the club is in a much better position than others. Still getting 50- 60 on the track each training session, its just those 50-60 might not be of the calibre of the better players the clubs had in recent years.

IMO they are in danger of being cellar dwellers in Div 3 for a long time as the people managing expect success or they walk. Mount obviously recovered much better than CPL post grand final debacle in terms of player personal. They would have been the club to implode as missed chance of a flag however looks like CPL unable to sustain. If CPL won (big if) the club would have gone in leaps and bounds. That knock on Beecroft may just have been the catalyst for the turn of events as I'm sure CPL would have won the flag last year . Too much in -fighting and egos that will make it a long journey back in terms of getting players. And I think you fully agree.

Runs on the board means f*ck all when your seniors get done by 100 points and your reserves get there knickers pulled down to the tune of near on 200 points. You're carrying on like what CPL have done in the last 3 years will hold them in good sted for the season ahead, when realistically last year again, means f*ck all. I wish CPL the best but when those cold winter nights start to come in the middle of the year I wonder if the numbers will still be there if they continue to get pumped every week.

went down and watched Lyndhurst v Hallam......oh boy.

Players (from both sides) missing targets 25m away by foot (by sometimes quite a distance) with little to no pressure, 3m handballs missing targets by 1m (and at their feet). I felt like I was watching a Reserves game. Think I saw a forward lead out hard and get hit on the chest once all day. the only thing I didn't see was some biffo.

Game was close 5 mins into the last quarter, but Lyndhurst stopped to a crawl and Hallam kicked 7 goals in the last 15 min to run away with it. Had the game gone another 10 mins, Hallam would have won by 15 goals.

While I normally wouldn't pick out one incident to sum up a game, I must mention this one. with about 5 mins to go in the game, Lyndhurst's Playing Coach (no.15), who had played half forward most of the game, put himself spare man in the backline (but only after Hallam had kicked the last 6 goals and the margin was out to 7 goals). not long after, a long, high kick came in and he misjudged the ball and ran about 1 and a half metres under it (with no one within a metre of him). Hallam picked up the ball, gave out a couple of handballs and kicked a goal.

How did the Lyndale south yarra game look? I heard a rumour south yarra were going to be a surprise packet this year but lost to lyndale so dunno

Watched the Ashwood V Endeavour Hills game on weekend. Both teams moved the ball particularly well, and have some dangerous players off half back. Ehills hung on in the end but both teams look like they are going in the right direction

Was also watching this game. Ehills have improved a hell of alot since i last saw them. Moved the ball quite well and had some good outside run.
Ashwood had a couple out that i know of (not sure if that was the case for ehills), and i suspect they will get stronger as the year progresses.
I do think it will be a mount v doveton grandfinal with both showing dominant performances early although its only round 1 and anything could happen in the next 20 weeks!

From what I could gather Ehills were pretty much full strength apart from their full forward, that's if he is still playing there.
They play doveton Eagles this week so interesting to see how they fare.

I think he just said that in response to BB implying that the club is going to fold...based on the result of 1 game.
More then half the team retired in the off season so everyone knew this was going to be a year of transition for CPL, but I don't think it's all doom and gloom.

Mount will be up there again this year no quesiton. Going by the round 1 results I would say that Mount and Doveton will def be sitting above the pack this year.
