Finally some activity on here.

All we now need is for Vegemite to get back on here telling us about his glory days as an elite Power House midfield legend that never handballed.

Then we need Bemused to start his psychobabble rantings.

Then finally Nikkoteen to give us his cryptic crap and UHS predictions.

Fosters, good to have you back!

And then the Division 3 forum will be back to where it should be.

Wamba, I'm less afraid of Moose than I was of Pace...I was scared that Angelo would explode...literally!

And as for you Chump, you have been old, fat, bald and grumpy for the past 15 years!
From reading your last post, you obviously have a man crush on The Moose...does his girlfriend know she has a rival for his affections?

Ok so when do we think the VAFA final get off their ass to even this comp out to have 10 teams in each (totally unfair to have a final 4 in every grade but D3) IMO.

Chandstone (yet to win a qter of footy in 3 years let alone a game) and take your pick Mtlilly, BHN or Manningham (just don't like any of these sides) would be the 2 sides back to the clubbies, so 4 must go down from D3..

Hawthorn - Cheats and liars so that is already sorted
Powerhouse - just plain no good (maybe need to drop back to cubbies to re-build)
Old Westbourne - See above

I think Richmond, Albert Park and Wick have been good this year and with a few less out's all could have been abouts (particularly Richmond), so maybe it's only 3 down this year.

I find it hard to beleive that the VAFA are ok with the current situation??

It's my understanding that the league want 12 in A grade, and the extras will slowly push up.

Aquinas vs Power House - With the Bloods clinging to a finals spot can't see them falling to the relegation-bound uncharged Power.
Elsternwick vs St Francis Xavier - The loser is out of the finals race and although the Wicks defend their turf well I'm still a fan of the X-Men to keep their faint finals hopes alive.
Ivanhoe vs Old Westbourne - Can't see the Old-Boys toppling the Hoes, especially at the Park, as the home team starts dreaming of a move up the grades.
Richmond vs UHS-VU - The Tiger-Snakes have gone into hibernation recently and surely the Students won't drop this one if they want to keep that double chance come finals time.
Albert Park vs Yarra Valley - The Falcons are playing out the season and while being competative won't be any match for the overwhelming premiership favourite wine-makers.
Hawthorn vs Kew - The Hawks have really fired up after getting their marching orders from above and while the Bears are hanging on to a finals spot I think they might be in big danger come the end of the round.

Only 15 years? Thank you for that sir .....many would argue that it's been alot longer than that. Come on I expect better from you. As for Moose - a man crush ...... a civil union is on the cards if things keep going this well.

Chump.

Chump, Your lover moves to withing 4 of the magical ton!

How is Angelo Pace taking it that the biggest (literally) and best forward in Ivanhoe history has been usurped by a young kid with more talent than he ever had?

Are you still washing Moose's car or are you just cooking dinner for him and making his bed amongst other housewife duties?

Thanks for that Chump...cartoons are just about your standard...

This week pits two cellar dwellars against each other for relegation or redemption.

Old Westbourne and Power House have both been crap this season.

With Hawthorns indescretions and impending relegation, one of these two sides will go down.

The numbers are simple, Power House must win this weekend against Old Westbourne to keep alive their chances of avoiding relegation.

If Westbourne win, it's lights out for the Power House.

If Power House manage a victory (their first for the year), then it's game on and the last 2 rounds will be very interesting...

Bring it on!

Ivanhoe v Kew this week at the Bear Cave. On a scale of one to melee, what are the chances of seeing a bit of biff on the weekend?? Certainly no love lost between the two sides!

Keep talking it down Wamba...feel free at some stage to say something controversial.
There is plenty of excitement at Kew and at Ivanhoe and both sides actually believe they have the weapons to take home the biscuits this season and upset perennial chokers (and big talkers) Yarra Valley come finals time.

Great call Dee Three. Huge game tomorrow. These are two young sides who both have great depth. Who is going to shut down the moose though? Closing in on the tonne I hope Kew have a weapon down back to shut him down. Im expecting a closer game than last time - Kew a huge chance at home and if they get the win have an opportunity to grab 3rd and the chance

Only talking down the prospect of the biff against Kew Dee Three.

Yarra have to be favourites after beating us well twice this year but I picked the Hoes to win it at the start of the year and I'll stick with our pace and run to win in September.

Agree Richo that Kew can get a very good look at 3rd with a win at home tomorrow. I may have picked them to get to 3rd a few weeks back - although Aquinas now also playing some good footy at the moment.

Will be a cracking game and think it will only have a couple of goals in it either way. We have had a great spread of goal kickers more recently and as such I feel our game has improved since we last met Kew also. Looking forward to the games and a beer afterwards.

Dee Three - Biffo? you little prankster :p

Should be a good game in the twos as well - Hoes got smashed last time and want to do alot better against the best side in the division.

Great point Richo. I saw the early game in the season where Kew were undermanned and got beaten convincingly. That game was the wake-up call, the second half of the season has been huge with key players stepping up and seizing the opportunity to move into 4th. I think I know the right man for the moose. Gonna be a good game. Can't wait to see a hard fought contest between two clubs with a clear rivalry. My tip Bears by 5 at the fortress that is the bear cave.

Saintlenny, good by you for getting involved! Can you give us a hint as to who will take thy moose?

Uni High will get 3rd chump!

UHS-VU vs Aquinas - The double chance is on the line here which should ensure a spirited game with the Bloods given the nod in a close game.
Yarra Valley vs St Francis Xavier - Unfortunately the season is all but over for the X-Men and if it isn't will be after the wine-makers have finished with them.
Albert Park vs Elsternwick - The Wicks still see the finals door as ajar and need to beat the Falcons here or it closes for the season.
Hawthorn vs Richmond - The Tiger-Snakes season finished last week but should get one last win here against the Hawks.
Power House vs Old Westbourne - One last roll of the dice for the Power to remain in the division but the Old-Boys also need the win.
Kew vs Ivanhoe - A crucial game for the Bears as they still have a couple of chasers for their finals spot but the Hoes are paying inspired football at the moment and should make the Bears sweat for another week at least.

Interesting call Wamba! After yesterday the Bears have a huge chance and if they win against Aquinas next week its theres!

Should be a cracking game Richo as the Bears continue some good recent form. Kew played their ground very well on Saturday and pushed us very wide for large amounts of the game. We only really had one good 1/4 of footy and were simply outplayed for a large part of the game. Looking forward to the next time we meet - if we do in 2012 - that's for sure.

Well done to the Hoes in the two's as they knocked over the top side. Kew were a little off target and that helped, but we were very happy with the way we ran out the game and pinched a valuable 4 points and double chance for the finals.

Also well done to Ash 'Moose' Close who kicked 4 for the day and that makes it 100 for the year so far. Great effort to do this in 16 games at any level of footy. Looking forward to a couple more before the year is out and some finals footy for the IAFC in Seniors, Ressies and Under 19's. Go Hoes!

Round 17....
AOC v Kew - Kew seems to be hitting their straps at the right time. Big upset over IAFC. Will win and take 3rd spot.
Wick v Haw - close

PH v IAFC - Smashing.
SFX v UHS - UHS not in form, but neither are SFX.
OW v AP - Big game for OW?

Round 18....
UHSVU v OW - Finals preparation, UHS may rest players if they've missed the double chance?
YV v Aquinas - AOC wont the last time, and YV will have nothing to play for... could go either way.
IAFC v Wick - Ivanhoe may also be resting players?
AP v RC - Match of the round ;)
PH v Hawks - Powerhouse may avoid relegation if they get a win...Calling all registered players!
Kew v SFX - Too much on the line for Kew.

Just jumped off a plane late last night after the closing ceremony. Fair to say the London weather is a touch better that the freezing temperatures back home in Melbourne!

Well done to the big Moose for his 100th on the weekend...but not enough to get Ivanhoe over the line against FIERCE rivals Kew.
The Chump wasn't sure whether to go and wash Moose's car again or speak to the Senior coach and demand a game. Chump, what was the verdict?

The top five is surely a lock by now isn't it?

The only interest is now at the relegation end with Westbourne and Power House now battle to survive the drop after the House stiched up Westies on the weekend.

I only hope that Yarra Valley choke again...

Dee Three,
I already wash his car, cook his meals and walk his dog .....so the coach got a visit. Fair to say I have been 'burning up the track' over the past month and as a proven finals specialist may be called upon to support the IAFC youth through the finals campaign!:p

Delusional Chump

Mate how do you have Kew finishing fourth and you predict they will get the four points over both AOC and SFX? Think you may be forgetting a draw.

Based on a likely top 5 of
1. Yarra Valley
2. Ivanhoe
3. Kew
4. UHS-VU
5. Aquinas

What will the finals draw look like?
