Haha I was playing on the other side and yes he did - a couple of our spectators were giving him a bit of stick, he slotted a goal, they kept going and then the moon came out.

Got a red card for his efforts (which I thought was a bit unlucky to be honest).

Interesting to see if Richmond Central release Seb Angus to play if picked given they have an important agme against Eley Park that week. From memory he played in the U23 game last year and would have to be a reasonable chance to play.

Should be awarded the Brown-eye-low! Would have been a pisser to watch. One of our boys in the magoos got red carded on Sat for giving "the bird" to an ump. Shoulda dropped his dacks instead and made it worth it. Red card for a "Moon" is a bit harsh. No wonder there are no characters left in footy.....

Round 10.............

South Mornington @ North Brunswick - Should be a close game, and very important for NB. SM are getting some form back however.

Chadstone @ Box Hill North - A much needed win for BHN, who'd had it tough the past 6 weeks.

Point Cook @ Manningham - Rumour has it PC haven't travelled well. Should be a good game.

Richmond Central @ Swinburne - Small, muddy ground. Huge game.

SFX @ Eley Park - I feel that SFX are capable of changing up a gear when pushed. Another great game.

So, 4 even contests in the seniors with finals implications.

Reserves...............

SM, BHN, Manningham, RC, SFX

Tips for this Week

Seniors

North Brunswick - v - South Mornington - South Mornington are no good away from home and Nth should take home the points. Notaro to kick 5
Point Cook - V - Manningham - Point Cook are also terrible travellers and should find themselves six goals down at the final siren. Marsh to kick 5
Chadstone - v - Box Hill North - BHN to kick a cricket score against the fashion capital with Penny in line for double figures
Richmond Central - v - Swinburne - Swinburen to bring Richmond back down to Earth and run the centrals off their feet. Tregear to kck 4
SFX - V - Eley Park - Bit of an upset but Eley Park are very hard to beat at home. Could be a preview of the GF with Israel to kick 5

Reserves

SM, BHN, MC, SU, EP

Round 10 Tips

North Brunswick vs South Mornington - SM by 2 goals.
Box Hill North vs Chadstone - BHN by plenty
Manningham vs Point Cook - MC by 5 goals.
Swinburne Uni vs Richmond Central - RC by 1 goal.
Eley Park vs St Francis Xavier - EP by 1 goal.

Reserves: SM, BHN, MC, SU, SFX

The VAFA score is wrong for the snakes game... It was 10.15 to 10.10...

Great game. Swinburne cam storming back in the third quarter, but the snakes held on.

I'm impressed by the results out at Allard Park. Two great wins for their sides.

Also a good win by the EP reserves.

I'll bet the bhn seniors ear drums are still recovering after the spray they would have gotten at quarter time?

There was a strong breeze towards the toy railroad end and chaddy played out of their skins. Was by far the best the boys have played this year.
If the chances had been taken in front of goal in the 3rd term who knows what might have happened with some scoreboard pressure.

Some observers might have suggested that BHN took us lightly in both games but I think it was more that we showed more endeavour and determination than in any other game this year. It was great to be a part of it as I feel a corner has been turned.

There is definitely a positive feeling around the club. The culture has improved immeasurably since The start of the season and it's great to be a part of it. Hopefully all the hard work will pay off by the end of the season.

As a spectator my ears are still ringing at the abuse coming from the Chadstone bench, relax guys it's only a game !

Great to see the Point Cook two's knock over the Manningham Boys on the road. A long trip made worthwile and it was great to do it for the coach who had that extra incentive to knock off the team that he was a assistant at in 2010. He was a very content man last night.......

The senior boys got close but just couldnt get the job done in the end...

Seems that the top 4 in the ressie's are now settled, done & dusted...

ELey Park might have something to say about that... having beaten SFX on Saturday.

Huge round for Eley Park in Rd 12 vs RC. Will more than likely decide EP's finals seeding in the seniors and could decide the final 4 in the reserves. Looks as if the final four in the seniors is settled at SFX, SU, RC and EP. Would be surpised if the reserves changed and would also expect NB to start stacking their reserves team.

EP will probably have to beat both SU and RC to get into the top 2... The only advantage to finishing 3rd rather than 4th is the colour of the shorts? I think?

By the way... After checking out the photo's from the SFX v BHN match in the Amateur Footballer, I'm amazed it wasn't determined to be a jumper clash...

Just quietly I think it was supposed to be but SFX as the away side decided for whatever reason not to wear them.

I didn't handball or kick to any of their players on the day (well not intentionally anyway), not sure whether anybody else did or found it to be an issue. Obviously Richmond v SM wouldn't work without a clash jumper but we played SFX in 2008 without them as well (except for the reserves semi when we were made to wear an alternate strip).

It's listed on the website as a compulsory clash but it wasn't listed as one in the weekly bulletin so I guess they went off that instead.

Fair enough... There's no advantage to either side anyway. Just annoying for the home fans Abba!

The Centrals return to K.B. Reserve after a couple of weeks on road.

Will be no love lost this week against BHN, after the earlier encounter in the slop out at Elgar Park.

Words flew and ego's were deflated, with a couple of individuals from the RCAFC looking to settle to score within the first few stoppages of the weekends Round 11 clash.

Watch this space...

In other news, Eley Park will be keen to essentially sew up the final remaining spot available in the top 4 with a win over the Cobra's... Let the opposition analysis begin between the respective current top four clubs over the next 8 weeks.

RCAFC heroic last quarter efforts against the "Students", may be pivotal come the final siren of Round 18...

Special mention to Centrals Captain Sean O'Connor for notching up his 50th game with the club.

Whispers Out.
