Buddy had a reputation of being a loose cannon before the draft.
He has already proven himself to be a handful at hawthorn.
These types of plays prove to be more trouble then what they are worth. May show glimpses of potential. But that's all you'll get with buddy.
Has he done a Jay Schultze yet?

No.

Then STFU.

As for Buddy being a big name? Well, it certainly seems as if he is a big name on big footy!

He's a name, doesn't take much to generate discussion at BigFooty.

Especially if it creates an opportunity for Richmond and Hawthorn fans to have a dig at each other.

Amusing really.

The bitterness of the tigger fans is amazing!:D

It really must hurt them.:thumbsu:

Who's bitter? We're really happy with Tambling (thank you very much) and we are especially happy we didn't draft Buddy after this. The Tiger fans are laughing now!!!

There is VERY little chance he will be at Hawthorn next year.

Disappointing for Hawks fans.

Your manager doesn't come out and say things like that unless he is moving clubs.
What are you on about?

Your manager is MORE likely to say things like that if he is trying to entice your team to pony up the big bucks.

If you were going to leave anyway, why would you need to draw attention to it?

If you were leaving anyway, you would do what Nathan Brown did and come out and say you were putting off all negotiations until the end of the season, so you wouldn't get any fire for considering leaving until the decision was made.

He's going to be a superstar at Hawthorn but he'd be average at Essendon.

Funny that.
Bentleigh is trying so hard to turn this into a Franklin Tambling thread. Bentleigh 4 words for you: Halt deine Klappe alter!

I can't believe we have 11 pages of crap that has really been generated by Sheedy saying they would be targeting Lance Franklin. I would expect the Bombers to sniff out any good player who is out of contract. But it is also another way for Sheedy to deflect questions relating to his sides abysmmal 1-13 record.
I would suggest waiting until later in the year before we worry about any players leaving their clubs.

This is another storm in a teacup story that will be forgotten about by next week.

except no one really believes anyone wants to go to Essendon. you're just a cheap bargaining chip to get a better deal.

You wish that was true. :p

Interesting you say that because the participants in the recent Under 18 Championships were all surveyed and more answered they wanted to play under Kevin Sheedy than any other coach.

I'm pretty sure Kevin Sheedy coaches Essendon.
