Tye HouriganLawson Humphries again perhaps?
We'll take Draper so you better trade upOne of the biggest question for the draft is if both Lalor and Finn are gone 1 and 2, who does Carlton take?
The next two rated picks would be Jagger Smith and Sam Draper, and from all accounts Carltons number 1 hope is for Finn to be there at their pick.
The Lions have struggled with this over the last few years. With Oscar/Daniher locked in the seniors, we had Fort, Smith, Lane and another who I've gone mental blank on. Struggled to give them enough ruck time in the VFL to keep in touch and develop.Carlton have TDK, Pittonet and O'Keefe.
Then it's pinch hitting from McKay, Silvagni, Young and maybe Lemmey.
It's pretty hard to carry too many rucks these days.
Haven't they already chosen footy by the time it's being considered? The objective of overseas born NGA is to get kids that would otherwise choose a different sport to come into footy
Not really. It's supposed to be bringing them in to a juniors development system for years before they're draft ageHaven't they already chosen footy by the time it's being considered?

Well for my own kids they fill out the questions about their family background etc when they applied to join a junior club as part of the registration. Not really. It's supposed to be bringing them in to a juniors development system for years before they're draft age
Problem is they don't have an F2 so they're limited in optionsYep you'd be happy with either Draper or FOS. Crows want him, hand over their f1. You get the death wish Adelaide next year.

Yes - the acadmies are about the top end. In theory, the system is designed to help develop players from communities that don't play much footy, so more enter the AFL asystem and thus interest in footy grows in those communities. They're not really grasroots academies - they're to make players from African and Asian backgrounds more likely to play AFL and that's what will result in more community particpation.Haven't they already chosen footy by the time it's being considered?
There's a clear top 4 in this years draft, I think Adelaide would be happy with any one of them.Maybe your F2 going back or whatever, if they want Draper pay up
Who are the 4?There's a clear top 4 in this years draft, I think Adelaide would be happy with any one of them.
I can't see us giving up a F1 to move up 1 spot.
(Especially given the Market Price to move from Pick 6 to Pick 2 )
Lalor, FOS, Jagga and Draper... maybe then a half step down to Langford (who I don't think suits Adelaide's needs).Who are the 4?

I'd just sit there and take whoever is left. They all have skills which would improve out list.
Although, we did draft McAsey so who knows!?
Haha he was, but we had pick 4, just slid back to Pick 6 for GWS f1McAsey was pick 6 to be fair wasn’t he
Haha he was, but we had pick 4, just slid back to Pick 6 for GWS f1
It ended up pick 4 for pick 6 and 10 so it was a very good trade given GWS failed to make Finals despite being Grand Finalist the previous year, I'm still bullish on Pedlar (has shown his quality when injury free).Forgot that part sorry yikes not a great moment for the Crows
I'm yet to see thatAh, I see now that WCE have given up pick 3, it's now Carlton supporters who are fantasizing over Adelaide giving up a F1st just to move up one spot for Draper...
These are some damn good draft rumours
I'm not sure we're speaking about the same thing. It's a marketing strategy.Well for my own kids they fill out the questions about their family background etc when they applied to join a junior club as part of the registration.
If only it wasn't true. You actually bloody will. It's commendable, but it's what the job description should be for all clubs. "Find untapped talent". Cats do it far better than everyone, by streets. We are gonna take a part time fisherman from Surf Coast area currently play Geelong Ammos at the end of the Draft and he's gonna become a 2 time All Australian player.
Trust in Stephen Wells
Like the Crows grabbing James Borlase born in Cairo when his father father, a Port Adelaide Captain in the SANFL briefly worked in Egypt for the Australina Wheat board.Yes - the acadmies are about the top end. The intention of a rule doesn't always match an individual outcome. Some speeding isn't even remotely dangerous, whereas sometimes driving at the speed limit is too dangerous for the situation.Like the Crows grabbing James Borlase born in Cairo when his father father, a Port Adelaide Captain in the SANFL briefly worked in Egypt for the Australina Wheat board.
