I don't think it's as bad as it looks. With the new DVI, they'll trade Rich F2 and North F2 into a pretty good first round pick.

So it's likely to end up F2 plus a probable downgrading of F1 - depends on how big a downgrade it is as to whether it works out badly for them - and obviously whether Whitlock is any good.

At least we backed ourselves in and did something. Your team sat there with pick 7 and 8 in a draft with so many mids at the top end and did absolutely nothing.

Literally the perfect draft to find a way to get that elite mid you’ve been craving for the best part of over a decade now.

Repeating the sins of Clark and Coffield is borderline senile.

Oh but enjoy pick 5 out to pick 8/9 next year. I’m sure you’ll find him next year….

Well it wasn’t the perfect draft was it. It’s been said for months that there wasn’t a Reid or Naicos.

You just blew at best pick 5 for 19 and 27.

Spin it how you want. But doing something isn’t always better than doing nothing.

I think that’s what will be the “general talk” from the club. As I said, the story is we were offering our F1 from pick 8 onwards last night, so could’ve been for Whitlock, but unlikely.
So happy for Trainor for you blokes. He’s gunna be steal of the draft IMO.
