Im unsure how 6 x $900k is less money than 5 x $900k. Then again the media blindly reported every story Connors fed to them before the deal, so it makes sense they will keep reporting.

Conners got all 4 clubs to put forward there best offer to satisfy GWS and Essendons was the highest. Very smart move by the club to pay in draft picks not salary for this one.

It will be more then pick 9. I suspect dons 1st and 2nd that values shiel at pick 4.

Big get for Essendon. His kicking is overrated - looks stylish but is largely ineffectual - but his best play will be as a contested in tight stoppage player which compliments the other Essendon mids beautifully.

You're so far off the mark on his kicking it isn't funny. If anything his kicking is underrated due to being prone to the odd shank.

You don't become a top 5 GA player in the comp whilst having "innefectual kicking"

We already have GWS’s scond rounder but surely something along the lines of the Treloar deal would be fair. Shiel is a gun. If we can get it done for less, it would be great but let’s not play pretends about what he is worth.
