Listen, I thought Eade's comments after the game were pretty ordinary - even if he made an initial honest mistake in accusing our players of things they didn't do, he should have publicly corrected the record and apologised either publicly or got on the phone to someone at North. It lacked class.

BUT whatever the bad blood about last time, we are better than this "shit club / how many premierships" business. It's what I would expect (and endured an entire childhood of) from Essten and Carlton supporters.

Sure I'll dislike the doggies this Sunday, but we have more in common with them than most clubs, and we do ourselves a disservice with some of the stuff being written. Let's save the hate for the likes of Essendon, Carlton, Hawthorn, Collingwood and Adelaide.

What you guys need to do is worry, that despite your fairly recent grand final successes you still have the worst following in the league.

You guys of all teams I thought would be least wanting to trott out success measures against a fellow small club, when there are many measures of success you too fail at. And you should also know better than anyone that you love your team despite your on or off field success just like we do. And you know success is measure in lots of ways.

Looking forward to this game very much. Last time still sticks in the mind and while I know you guys think you owe us one.....I know we know and the players know what happened last time and we feel we owe you more.

Yes North and the Dogs have a lot in common.......but when your supporters come on our board and start mouthing off about the fact that you guys are more successful than us based on a victory earlier in the year, not only is it stupid but it insights the "lack of silverware" response which, to be quite honest......is a pretty fair argument.

Dogs are my second favourite team but FFS this year they have lost my respect, especially that joke of a coach of yours. Honestly, from what I see of the dogs you are the 5th best team in the comp, success is a while off yet and I sense panic within your club that this has been realised.

Best of luck on the weekend although I doubt the result will change the fact that we'll both be watching from the sidelines come the last week of September.

Maybe not completely relevant to the OP but after a few reds i feel the need to vent I just don't understand the vindictive nature of posts made by supporters of some successful and some not so successful clubs, purely based on the amount of silverware/success we've/they've had. Are their thoughts worth more because an organization they follow happened to have won/bought/won their way to a few more wins than we have. Does that mean we deserve no respect and belittlement?

It was your supporters who jumped on OUR board crapping on that brought out the vitriol from myself.
Eade was a smug prick, IMO, straight after the game, and was proved to be incorrect. He then had an opportunity to fix this and came up with the "rookie coach error" line about Scott.......instead of correcting/adjusting his stance re the Hall "attack".....FFS!

Thanks, that's a perfect example of the point we are making. For some reason, you Dogs supporters act as if you are a high success powerhouse. Others simply point out that history deems this not to be the case. It literally never has been the case.

Your team has played "well" in the past, but is simply incapable of achieving the ultimate prize. You mouth off every year in seeming ignorance of the fact that your mouthing off of previous years was premature and your club achieved bugger all.

Despite your heroic statement, you don't love it "when this one is trotted out". You hate it, because being reminded of your abysmal history hurts. And so it should.

Atleast we have seen a premiership in our lifetimes and even if you have seen your one flag, you are too old for me to pick on anyway.
It must suck to see a potential premiership window resting on the back of an ageing Johnno and Hall despite your midfield dominance.
Geelong, Collingwood and The Saints will shit on you in the finals so have fun waiting another 56 years.

No worries mate. I have a massive respect for your club and for the overwhelming majority of North supporters and am not intent on starting anything. I know this is your board and you are all sick of w***ers coming here and trashing your club, god knows we've had enough of it in the past week.
