What do you think we are offering him contract wise to make it worth anything?

enough to get at leastband 5.

I think it's more likely to be a trade now.
Assuming Cumming or Perryman go, which is looking increasingly likely, it will benefit the giants to trade, because they will lose one of the compensation picks if they sign him as an FA.

Can we go lower than the pick we got from Carlton in one of those trades a few years ago ... think it was Rhys Palmer who beat the record for the lowest pick ever traded? #135 or something!

He's a depth player. Given we don't have huge depth in his position it's actually not ideal.

But if the Crows get Lukosius they'd have Thilthorpe, Fogarty, Lukosius, Walker, Murray jnr and young Welsh on the list.

If GWS offered something like pick 40 odd you'd be ok with that.
Why would they offer anything, he is an unrestricted free agent isn't he..we can only hope they offer him enough cash to trip a compensation band

Himmelberg to the SUNS looks highly likely now as an unrestricted free agent. Even talks of a new deal earlier in the year at Adelaide didn’t tempt him, such is his desire to play more senior footy.

Makes sense for him to leave the Crows if he is looking for opportunity. Gold Coast is an interesting choice though. Is he any more likely to get a game there?
Probably would considering they're looking for better defensive stocks in Himmelberg, Noble, and Rioli

Himmelberg's only played FWD and pinch-hit Ruck for the Crows. There's been talk of him converting to a DEF but he's never had an extended block there. I wonder if GC have that in mind for him.

You know when you just look at a decision that someone makes and think "How the hell did you come to that conclusion"

Thats Himmelberg joining the suns.

He's going to the one club that has two key forwards under the age of 25 who are set and forget in the side, in King and Walter.

Truly bizarre.

He would play plenty of games for Richmond, North (prior to Darling call) and Melbourne in 2025. He wont at GCS.

I think they have the same idea the Crows have, that Elliot is an awesome depth player. He just doesn't want to be depth.

To be honest, Hawthorn or North would have been great places for him, but I guess he doesn't want to play in Melbourne.
