melbourne (saints)
after 25 years of following the saints i am still amazed at how my team find novel ways to lose. they get as close as possible to the opposition score by kicking 6 goals whilst keeping them scoreless. for most teams this scenario would translate into a fine win, for our mob it is just another amazing loss, i'm still shaking my head. :D

good luck in the finals.:D

There's no doubt we were lucky in the end yesterday, but the same could be said for Adelaide against us 2 weeks earlier down at Skilled Stadium!! I guess the good teams seem to get out of games like the one yesterday, so lets hope this win can be something Geelong can build on going into the finals. (I hope!)

Go Cats!!

Don't worry matey. We have had our share of ***** over the years too. You know, just believe in Mickey Malthouse's saying, the one about the ox and the earth. Your turn will come. Ours is just around the corner, again!!

A WIN IS A WIN!! WE get the four points, even though not convincingly, we still get them, and they are so important this time of the year near finals!!

Now that we're back on the winners list I think the team will lift a whole lot, and we will beat the Dockers!!:D

StrengthThroughLoyalty, do you think you may have had a rather... fortunate run? With umpiring, smacking our guys behind play, etc.

Anyway, we've got four points, Saints... nothing.

I think the free kick count was something like St Kilda 23, Geelong 10 by the end of the game. Now in a 2 horse race, I find it very hard to believe there could be such a difference in this statistic!!

Spot on there SeinDude. I cannot believe they had double our free kicks. An interesting stat was that 20 odd frees in total for the whole game were paided in the midfield. Shows that the umps don't have the guts to give teams gimme goals, and shows they don't want to take goal chances away from teams.

Go Cats!!:)
