Why on earth would we have three changes? We have no need to bring players in when our seniors are playing well. Let Laverde, Langford & Begley keep dominating until someones form drops in the seniors. We have some great depth, lets use it to our advantage. I can see the argument for Green being out due to form, but he is probably the only one. Bird will go for Watto.

Laverde almost a must to come in but worry that he messes with the forward structure too much if hes coming in for green. Laverde thrived today as a main key target, but with Hooker, Daniher and Stewart already taking up 3 spots as tall forwards, adding another tall could be dangerous especially if its at the expense of a small forward pocket.

Then again, with Stewart and Laverde both having that ability of playing small despite their height, a handy mismatch could eventuate

Daniher is also very mobile for his size.

I'd be surprised if Laverde would get called up before Langford or Begley. The fact that he played so much forward probably means he doesn't have the fitness too run out an AFL game.

Why on earth would you say 'we' whilst posting under a Hawthorne supporter badge?

Alias perhaps?

I think it's going to be a pretty simple Bird out Watson in as far as team changes go. Laverde and Langford have been solid in the VFL, but I've got my doubts as to whether missing a big chunk of football is going to allow Laverde to run out a match and I'd prefer to keep pace in the side with Colyer. There's no harm in allowing Lav, Lang and Begley (and Mutch, and Redman, and Francis...) to stay in the VFL for the rest of the season while the seniors make a finals push, barring injury or some inexcusable patch of bad form by somebody who's currently in the team. (Okay, so maybe Green is a risk with the way he's playing right now).

Right now we're not a team destined for a high draft pick like in 2015 and 2016, but a team that's a genuine top eight chance. We haven't been in this spot before because the last time we were a top eight fancy, I don't think the form in the VFL was nearly as good as what we have now. Unfortunately for the young guns, they're just going to have to work harder to win their spot instead of being gifted senior experience as we've done for the past few seasons. Above all, if we belt a top eight team by 70 points, we shouldn't be looking to reinvent the wheel in a week.

Hrmmm.... Fridge or Laverde for Green? Fridge has more runs on the board lets face it. Laverde is damn close but perhaps he should be given another week in the midfield to build fitness?

Doubt Fridge has more runs on the board.

We can afford to lose two with our good percentage. But season over if we lose this, all the momentum of the past two weeks will be gone.

Win and win well please. Time for us to show the comp a mean streak.

Calling for his head after kicking 2 in a 10 goal win? Exactly what it is
It isn't about his last game in isolation, his last few games are what should be coming into consideration. Just because Essendon win, in no way means that the team shouldn't still be trying to improve (insert Woosha 'improvement' press quote in here somewhere). If a player can come in and play his role better then so be it.
