The timing of RUS quote above couldn't have been any better because look at this corrupt shit...

The two guys were both top level bankers, one who previously managed the world bank and were working pro bono for the FIA. They were 2 of 4 members on the financial oversight committee, they noticed some dodgy dealings going on concerning MBS and when they questioned where money was going (MBS bribing his way to re-election), MBS had them fired.

We are reaching FIFA levels of corruption

Sergio Perez racks up his seventh Q1/SQ1 exit after he fails to make SQ2 at the Qatar Grand Prix. His team mate has just won the World Drivers Championship.

Perez has single handedly cost Red Bull the 2024 Constructors' Championship. And he still has a year to run on his contract.

Well done Helmut Marko.

And to think Helmut wanted DR out of a car and he wants Sergio in one just as much. Bwahahaha senile much.

Lawson is more ready for that seat than Franco Colapinto is.
Neither look ready for RB imo.

Marko has really ****ed this one up.

Not only lose the teams championship, but drop to 3rd.

Should have targeted Sainz when he was shopping himself around.

Marko and JV both have too big egos for sainz.

But yes I agree they screwed up.

Is Valterri still capable of doing what he did for Mercedes at Red Bull?

Fitness wouldn't be an issue.
He wouldn't be a bad choice, it's hard to know how far he's fallen because that cars been garbage for 2 years.

Lawson hasn't done much better than Dan TBH, which would be disappointing the Red Bull guys. I still think they go with Colapinto because he has speed, and brings more money than Lawson.

Colapinto is too raw and crash prone. They may as well have just kept Dan (especially for what it will cost them to get FC out of williams) if they do that. Lawson is better but not ready. They got spooked on lawsons contract and they are desperate for checos money and they stuffed it all up.

The thing they need to work out is how much is crashing due to pushing the car beyond its limits, and how much is because he's run out of talent.

To me, you pick the guy with the most raw pace and work on the race craft. It wasn't that long ago a 17yo debuted for STR who was blindingly fast but raw.

Guys like Senna, Hakkinen, Giles, Lauda etc were all raw, talent guys. Not saying Franco is as good as those.... but you pick those types every day of the week.

But how many of these guys had the results in junior pedigree that suggested they were going to be what they became.

Franco sorta came out of nowhere with a good performance, and wasn't on anyone's radar before that. Somewhat similar (although big age difference) with Nyck Devries.

This is absolutely true as well.

I'm just not sure Lawson is what they hoped he would be, to the surprise of no one really. He's the type of placid character that fits though.

They won't pick Yuki, too combustible.

Who wins Teammate of the Year?

The definition being the driver who has done the most to support their teammate's cause.

My nominees would be KMag & Piastri.

Dishonourable mentions to Checo & Sainz.

Very stiff to include Sainz there when Ferrari are a huge chance at the constructor's

I'll throw a name into the perfect choice for Red Bull #2 seat: Hulkenberg.

If only both parties had waited another couple of months he could have had a top drive for 2025, and Red Bull could have had a very good teammate to Max for a few years while Lawson/Hadjar/Lindblad warm up.

I'm unashamedly a DRic fan, and really for me it just seems that it would have been a safe option to put DR in the #2 seat at RB for the second half of this year, calculated what the options were and left the door open for him in 25 if the exact right option wasn't there. It appears now, after the past few races, that DR was contributing reasonably solidly for VC

It also could have given them some security knowing that 25 is going to be full of will he/won't he crap about Max.

Dan is/was cooked.

Not to the Perez kind of level, but he had nothing left to give.

Sainz has screwed over LeClerc so many times this year, going against team orders, that he well & truly deserves to be on the dishonourable list.

Don't get me wrong, he's driven magnificently in his own right. He's just been a terrible teammate to LeClerc.
