I will personally find religion if the Eagles muster a flag this year. Nothing, I repeat NOTHING has gone right for us this season, yet we always seem to find a way. If we can win the flag with injuries to 1/3 of our list. No Judd, Kerr or Cousins it will be a miracle.

Anyone else want to give a bit of a "heads up" to the big man up there with me?:D

When I say it its idiotic and dumb but deep down you all know it to be true.

Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist. I'll be anything! Just get us the flag!!!

The Eagles are playing for the premiership cup. The religions are playing for this man's spirituality.

I couldn't agree more. Every major midfielder besides Braun has suffered an injury this year. Judd, Kerr, Cousins, Stenglein, Priddis, Rosa argghhhhh unbelievable! God must hate our footy team this year.

We finished top last year and lost the coresponding game against the swans, lets be positive....... we have a home final next week.... which we will WIN then bring on the cats in the prelim

You guys have been absolutely slaughtered by injuries over the past few weeks and the course of the season, and as a Dons supporter I know just how much injuries can impact you. Now I honestly don't think you guys have enough firepower to win the flag this year, but you are still a chance, as other teams will take a side devoid of Cousins and Judd lightly, underestimating the abilities of lesser lights such as Priddis, Rosa, Embley and Fletcher.
Anyway good luck next week fellas.

Stuff fate, we'll have to beat that as well. Every game of AFL footy is tough, we did an extraordinary job to finish 3rd. All that hard work gave us the double chance, which we now need to use. We lost last night's game by 3 points against the team that finished 2nd, at their home ground, while decimated by injuries. Damn, not finishing 2nd hurt us! Anyway, the team has worked too hard during the year overcoming huge obstacles to give themselves a chance and there is no way that they're going to put their hands up in the air now and say it's too hard and fate's against us. That's not the Eagles way.

No matter what team we put on the park next week I'd back us against either Sydney or Collingwood next week and then into the preliminary the following week against either North or Geelong.

Hard I know, but while we're still alive don't write us off.

I think it is as simple as all other league teams have employed a witch doctor to use voodoo. Could be no other explanation.

Melbourne have had a much worse run with injuries to all of their top players, but the gap of Eagles best to Melbournes best is rather large I think.

Anyway you cannot compare the Eagles injury run to the effect of Carlton losing Big Red to the Obesity epidemic. That has devestated the club.:D

Bad luck Weagles

Compare this year to last where just about everything went our way.

God I love 2006.

To quote the Beatles:

Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away
Now they're and here to stay
Oh i beleive, in yesterday...

*sigh*
