Up the Coasters Brilliant. Just ******* Brilliant (Positives and Negatives vs Narrm)

If you list all the teams alphabetically Fremantle are always, always, before West Coast. It's a stat that we simply can't deny - alphabetically they are better than us.
Funnily enough they're actually not this week. Walyalup v Waalitj Marawar

Can we sustain this level? We're going to be inconsistent aren't we?
We will win games at home we shouldn’t - we will drop games away we shouldn’t.

Unless we can convince the afl to give us 22 business class seats then it will be 3 peat time

Watching the replay this morning and as great as the win was Melbourne were all over us in the 3rd and could've and prob should've been in front come 3qtr time.

Guess the same could be said for us in the 1st half though but just an observation.

In my opinion, this reason makes the win even better. The group is obviously far more advanced than we were last year, but in the past any time a team is beating us around the ground they seem to score heavily. The growth in the group is, not winning the contest around the ground, but scrapping hard in defence to not concede, until we can get field position and momentum.

Gov and TB behind the ball help this obviously, but Witherden, Cole, Hough and Rotham all are showing 100% commitment to the contest and work super hard not to concede easy score like in previous years.

Except just a fortnight ago when Collingwood kicked goals at will

They kicked 3.7 to our 5.0 with 1.5 of their score coming in the back half of the quarter when they took control (they also enjoyed the benefit of some rather iffy free kicks in that period)

The late goal to Reid was critically important. Restored our buffer to 3 goals and kept them at arms length

As you alluded to, we also didn’t take full advantage in the 2nd quarter (3.5 to their 4.0) when we were in command. We had double their scoring shots but only led by 11 points

Swings and roundabouts but we were clearly the better team across 4 quarters and, if anything, the final margin flattered them
