Ironic that the first player u mention was Bradley Plain, when i read the thread topic, he was the first player i thought of as well.

SOS was a big long sleeve wearer, and Brad Hardie was too, to the point that at brisbane when he went there, he wore a sorn off jumper that resembled a t-shirt cos it was too hot for the sleeves but didnt want to get the shoulders burnt...

Ronnie McKewan was a regular magpie long sleever, and I reckon Brett Allison was too at the Kanga's. what about Jeff Hogg, i reckon he might've been a long sleeved wonder as well from memory. He wasn't a regular wearer, but i reckon i remember David Schwarze rolling around in them from time to time as well...
Denis Banks also at Collingwood although he wore cut-offs a few time as well.

The OP says not to let it descend into a "longsleeves are pissweak" discussion.

I was saying that they look ridiculous. But hey, at least you feel tough for telling someone to piss off. Clap clap for you :thumbsu:

Yep, super tough .

Although, brown & yellow in any combination looks ridiculous.

Thanks to the Hawks "contributor", I remembered Andy Gowers.

Pretty sure he sported the Brisbane cut-offs too at some point, as well as David O'Keefe.

To clarify the Brisbane 'no longies' thing, I reckon it happened when they dropped the Bear guernsey and went for the yellow & white V -

Ouch. What happened? Did he push you around a bit in school or something?

That would have been difficult considering he would be 12+ years older then me.
He's an arrogant little twat. Not to mention the most boring person i have EVER heard on radio.

SOS! Full Back of the Century!!

:thumbsu: - i remember watching many blues matches with the classic SOS being soaking wet with the sleeves plastered to him.

the memories have come flooding back now he's our assistant coach as has a magical and new found appreciation for him ;)

and for us, barks of course :thumbsu:

Peter Curran for the Hawks. Will stand corrected, but I'm sure he wore the long sleeves in the 87 GF when even Tucky donned a normal guernsey due to the heat.

Fave - Yze.

Can also recall Rhyce Shaw, Chris Tarrant and Adam Goodes wearing the sleeves on the odd occasion. I think Tarrant had the sleeves on when he took a huge grab against Melbourne on QB 7 or 8 years ago.
