Long Sleeve 22:

F: Abraham, Jarman, Hardie
HF:Milne, M.White, Caracella
C: Flower, Hird, Yze
HB: DWhite,Wakelin,Barker
B: Bassett, St.Silvagni, Wirrapanda

R: Longmuir, Se.Silvagni, Tuck
INT: A.Jarman, R.Burns, Lappin, A.Jones
EMG: D.Rioli, Tarrant, N.Davis

Pretty bloody handy team that, bar longmuir. Please excuse me if there is some bygone champion i have missed. Didn't include players who wore them very occasionally. EMG's just simply didn't don the sleeves enough, or in Rioli's case, couldn't break in to the squad. Cox and gardiner dabbled in the lon sleeves, not enough to make the cut though. Josh Kennedy is another.

For some reason I read every post on this thread!

From Port, Matthew Primus looked rather ridiculous in long sleeves but i'm sure he wore them occasionally. Others I can recall wearing long sleeves include the great Gavin, Shane Bond (or was it Troy?), Adam Hueskes, Derek Murray and John Rombotis!

Good effort with the team above too.

Peter Hudson could probably slot into Full Forward...

Fair to say that long sleeves became less common after the 60 and 70's? seems some of the earlier 'greats' and a tendency for the long sleeves, unless they were all doing it. Cos i recall seeing pictures of Lou Richards, John Coleman, both with the sleeves on. Roy Cazaly's famed photo reaching up plucking the prune one handed, he's got the longy on too.

Forward pocket, especially since you named Coleman :p

I can't find a pic of Coleman without them, as you said it was more commonplace for players to wear them prior to the 70's.

How about Blighty?

I'm sorry you can't have an all long sleeves 22 and not have either Brad Plain or Simon Atkins in the side.

Plainy should be captain FFS.
