I do honestly feel for you Carlton fans, it's always tough to see a favorite son moved on. The deal hasn't yet been completed I don't believe (i could be wrong) so there is still hope.

I can't help but think that the pies or the swans could have mustered up something a little more even if Carlton had just waited.

Most of us would rather have taken less for Fev from brisbane, then seen fev traded to the filth and win a flag there.

We have a blatant anti-Collingwood agenda when it comes to trading, and so do most other clubs ...

I hope Carlton can send out someone to wipe my little girl's tears. She's been praying all week that her favourite player would be staying. How is she supposed to understand?

Actually they can wipe my tears at the same time.

What a crap crap crap trade.

It could be worse. We had to give away Cuz for nothing at the same time as losing Judd...

I am not happy with the trade I would have liked to have waited to friday at least to see if there is anything else out there.

I hope our medical people conduct a very extensive medical on bradshaw before he signs.

And we better not be paying any of fevs salary as part of the trade!!!!

What, should we have taken pick 30 that you offered?

I don't really want Fev at Collingwood so I'm not fussed either way. Pick 30 was the starting point & an offer to pay 75% of his contract.

You will pay part of Fev's contract & at the same take on $300 K per year for Bradshaw. I know Rischa was heavilly poached by Essendon & is on $300 plus year.

Greg Swan has let a personal feud interfere with a business decision. Your club is poorer for it.

The reality IS Rischitelli is not in our best 22, and there is no way Bradshaw will be able to play a full season of AFL football. The Lions got a free massive upgrade and opened their premiership window and closed ours. To make matters worse we've got no draft picks at all out of the deal to get some talent in the draft before the compromised draft and we've traded away #11 prematurely. The best approach would have been to hang onto ALL our draft picks, and use them on KP forward talent. If no deal for Fev surfaced over the next few days, suspend him for an extended period of time and review the situation some time next year. We could have traded him in 2010 if need be. It just wasn't thought out, and should have been. The McLean trade should have been reviewed once we knew our #1 KP forward was likely to be offloaded . Voss has taken us to the cleaners on this one. We lost focus. We could have made some much better decisions even in the difficult circumstances :)

Celtic mate, I don't think even Carlton supporters would mind me saying that you have no place being here, you're a ship jumping w***er, take a step away from your computer and let the adults have a chat.

Secondly, I really don't understand the sacrificing of a fairer deal for you guys so that the pies don't get a player you're effectively getting rid of, but that's neither here nor there I suppose.

I'm probably the only Pies supporter who has a soft spot of the Blues (don't tell anyone over on the pies board), I'm the lone pies supporter in a family of 5 Carlton fans (yes, i was / am the black sheep) and my dad used to drag me to Optus Oval as a kid and get me into the rooms after the games, so i don't 'hate' them by any stretch, or really understand the absolute hatred.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

No, no that's unfair

hahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahah
hahahhahahhahahahahhahhahahahahahahahhahahhahahahhaha

Panther, you perform at the comedy festival this year?

Tell me another one, what about something like pick 30 for Luke Ball!

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Actually, that's no joke either - you really did that!

How do you figure?

Brisbane lose 600K and gain 700K

As for this feud you have made up

He left Collingwood - he wasn't pushed so is not bitter

Give up something decent and you may get something decent

Collingwood supporters thinking the football world revolves around them is becoming boring and predictable

EFA......!! I cant believe it as i think i have read the most Intelligent post ever from a Pie supporter. :thumbsu::thumbsu:

On face value this trade looks crap for the Blues but it seems it was the only one available. You weren't dealing him to Collingwood and Sydney were lukewarm. Just confirms that Carlton were determined to move Fev on come what may. They have effectively sacked him. Would be very interesting to know what proportion of his $$$ the Blues are paying?

Ill say it again:

Fevola, Hadley + 27 for Bradshaw, RiskAtelly + 12

Anything else and its a dud deal... notwithstanding Fevolas indiscretions.

We should sit on it untill Friday (while we push for 12 in exchange for Hadley and 27 to be added) and see if something else comes along from Sydney, the Saints or the Pies.

The only pro is Bradshaw being adle to cover up forward for the next two years (at best). Kruezer or Hammer better bloody step up as forwards as there aint no-one else on the list coming up who's going to fill in.

RiskAtelly is going to find it very hard to edge out: Judd, Gibbs, Murphy, Mclean, Hadley (if he stays), Stevens, Simpson, AJ, Walker, Carrazzo, Houlihan, Russell.

He's basically a tagger FFS.

Plus, we need the low pick to nab a decent KPP.

Why is everybody who is upset that Fev is most likely going think its an automatic step backwards. you've all decided before even a pre season match has been played that we won't kick enough goals to win games next year. Not really backing our team much are we?
The blues have been looking to become less one dimensional going forward for some time now. Well now we have the opportunity.

Whether Bradshaw kicks 6 goals or 60 goals he'll still take a quality defender, Kruezer will most likely spend more time forward, maybe Waite as his knee improves, Irish, Yazza, Eddie and contributions from the midfield.

West Coast won their 06 premiership predominately on the back of goal kicking midfielders, they had no fev like stars in their forward line.

Geelong have just won 2 premierships on the back of goal kicking mids and half forwards.

Get over it, Fev is most likely consigned to blues history, largely through his own actions. We can choose to wallow or we can back our boys to improve again in 2010 and prove to all of us that one guy wasn't the reason they didn't win a premiership.

Tell me another one, what about something like pick 30 for Luke Ball!

There is an old saying in footy, you trade for show & trade for dough. People place too much importance on trading & this week is a prime example.

With the current comprimized drafts coming up, holding onto draft picks this year is even more important. Either way, Greg Swan has let a personal fued interfere with a business decision.

Not sound practise (Brisbane have won this trade 70/30).

Its backwards because the deal suck big big time a fringe player with someone who leg can fall off any minute there has to be a first round pick included at least and that's a minimum.

Don't let my adequate spelling fool you, I don't have any teeth and still sleep under a bridge with the rest of my fellow pie brethren:D.

But seriously, forget im a Collingwood troll for a second, do you agree with the 'no trading with Collingwood' policy? I personally don't think Collingwood would make take that stance against Carlton had the situation been reversed. I would ALWAYS expect our board, and any board, for that matter to only do whats best for the club, regardless of who they feel their rivals are.

Ruling out trading with the pies really hamstrung you into a pretty rushed decision to trade, and it's not one that I think will serve you well over time.

My 2 cents.

You are without doubt the biggest moron that's visited this board since Embers.

Might want to wait for some results before coming out with any more crap.

You are a short sighted fool who hasn't taken into account things like team morale, harmony and just how much a team can benefit from moving a problem child on.

Yes clubs place a lot of value on trading, they also place a lot of value on premierships, Collingwood over the last 51 years have proven themselves the exception on both counts.

Off topic but does anyone feel With Or Without You by U2 sums up how most Blues fans feel about Fev, the chourus at least?

Nope, trade 'he' for 'she and it sums it up pretty nice...

See the stone set in your eyes
See the thorn twist in your side
I wait for you

Sleight of hand and twist of fate
On a bed of nails she makes me wait
And I wait without you

With or without you
With or without you

Through the storm we reach the shore
You give it all but I want more
And Im waiting for you

With or without you
With or without you
I cant live
With or without you

And you give yourself away
And you give yourself away
And you give
And you give
And you give yourself away

My hands are tied
My body bruised, shes got me with
Nothing to win and
Nothing left to lose

And you give yourself away
And you give yourself away
And you give
And you give
And you give yourself away

With or without you
With or without you
I cant live
With or without you

With or without you
With or without you
I cant live
With or without you
With or without you

Some nice ammunition to add to some of the threads I have seen you start on Yarran v Rich, Russell finishing 6th in the best and fairest as a disaster for the future for Carlton and a few about Wayne Hughes.

You are nothing but a troll who pretends to have inside information and has a personal vendetta against Carlton. Your whole club is all about failure and getting close. You fit right in.

You're ****ing delusional.

Seriously ****ing delusional.

Have you considered its more a combination of:

a) the fact that no-one wants to trade with Collingwood, and
b) Collingwood cant reconcile themselves with the fact that the AFL doesnt revolve around them. They just expect everyone to bend over and take whatever rubbish offer they are prepared to give up.

Collingwood remind me of an ugly chick standing at the corner of the bar, that you take pity on and talk to... only to regret it when you find out God really hates her as she also a completly self obssesed ****ing moron.

It appears as if every recruiting manager disagrees with you, hence the current busiest trade period in recent history.

But seriously, forget im a Collingwood troll for a second, do you agree with the 'no trading with Collingwood' policy?

I think it was hyped up by the media a little more than it was worth, I think one of the main reasons for it was because we were going to be trading him for less than he was worth and if we did that with you guys it would give you a very good chance of a flag.

Or you could look back and dwell on it during another decade of disappointment?

Think about it.

Call you toilet cake more like it...

Just as your club enters a 20 year rebuilding process after losing your entire forward line and a player who could argued is your best winger...

Who do you have to replace them with? anyone...

Essendon for the 2029 flag...
