$1200.00 for a family of 4 , well done AFL ...a 30% increase now takes the chances of the common man share'n something special with there kids out the window going fwd ...add to it the $500.00 for last week and its clear now its all about the corp's ...so be warned AFL , the G filled with Corpses will make for a dead atmosphere ...mark my words

It's almost criminal how much they charge. As if they don't have enough money as it is. It's no longer the game of the fans. Really makes you feel for the die hard supporters who miss out to give way for neutral corporates.

The sooner Demetriou is gone, the better.

Actually i would be interested to hear what level of membership people have and what seats they recieved.

As a fully paid Gold member i was guaranteed a seat and nominated for any seat as long as i get to go.

Truthfully though when checked the amount that came out of the bank balance last night and realised got silver seating i was a bit miffed as hoping for minimum gold seating.

However, when checked tickets this morning was relieved to see M35 row P which is right next to Gold seating bottom deck Ponsford stand anyway. Thought it would be a bit of a bummer to get top deck at the back with Gold membership.

I'm Kennedy Club and got silver seating. I was a bit miffed, but I got over it. At the end of the day, I'm going to the Grand Final and I'll have an extra $100 for booze. Silver seats = silver lining.

I missed the ballot. Does that mean I will need to beg or steal a ticket?
Is there anymore released?
The swans supporters didn't exhaust their allocation using the ballot. Now they get a chance to get a ticket. WTF. These tickets should become available immediately 9:00 am Monday. (more money for Andy D. Must go in the ballot).

I will be there...

Yes it is Q14 Row Z, But I am going...

The thing that pisses me off about the whole thing is that each club only gets 15,000 tickets, to split amongst their members... This only accounts for 30,000 people, which means up to 70,000 people at the game on saturday will not be club members, and that is just plain wrong

Standing in M10.

For those that were standing in '08 what advice do you have?

Get there as early as possible to get a view at the front? How do the MCG go about making sure you stay in your bay? About how many people are sold standing room for each bay?

Back row (Y)

gold member - got 4 gold tickets..m57 row C...stoked to be going, would have been happy with silver or bronze to be honest....

so expensive, it really is criminal, should at least be able to nominate ticket preference...

I am a full AFL member with club support: Hawthorn. I will be at the game on Saturday. I'm not in the 15000 allocation you refer to

I estimate that there will be 30,000 people at the game who are members of Hawthorn or have been allocated tickets directly by the Hawthorn Football Club

I'm thrilled to be able to take my mother to her first Grand Final. She has barracked for our beloved Hawks for many, many years. She remembers standing at Glenferrie Oval fence in the forward pocket during 1950. Yep, a season without a victory. She has been a member for many years. She gets to many home games. But, due to family concerns or, more recently, ill health, she has missed each and every Grand Final. So, this year she can see the boys from M13 just a handful of rows from the fence. She deserves it.

Of course there will be others outside the 15,000, but I was just refering just to the ballot

Stating that up to 70,000 people at the game aren't club members is just plain wrong.

There's plenty to whinge about GF allocations but spreading misinformation is unhelpful

Don Scott and his son will be at the game as a life member of the AFL. He is also a life member of the HFC.

I believe that slightly more than half of the people at the ground will be club members or people using a Hawthorn or Swans allocation
