Anyone have any suggestion on how to get a Grand Final Ticket? Getting desperate...

Hoping it's an all WA grand final so the MCC members or other Victorians who are not interested in the Game will sell me their ticket.

Reckon Holding a Wanted 1 ticket on a Piece of Cardboard outside the ground will help my cause?

I reckon there will be quite a few who get tickets from the ballot who cant make it across or cant pay for what it will cost that will be selling up. And probably a few who just went in to try and make a buck

GF ticket email

just got an email about GF tickets -- especially interesting is a process of returning tickets to the pool if you cannot use them. But ALL tickets in a purchase to be returned

then there is another sale of the returned tickets on the Tuesday.

Dear Spongebob

Thank you for registering in the 2015 Toyota AFL Grand Final ticket ballot. This is an exciting time for the club, our players and our members.

Should the club win Preliminary Final 2 on Saturday night, ballot allocations will commence on Sunday, September 27. Please ensure that you have enough funds for all tickets on your nominated card.

SUCCESSFUL REGISTRATIONS

Successful registrations will have their credit card charged at this time and receive notification by email and SMS on Monday, September 28.

Due to unprecedented demand, the club and the AFL understand that some members may have difficulty travelling to Melbourne. To assist members who are successful in the ballot but have been unable to secure travel to Melbourne, the AFL have developed an authorised Grand Final Ticket Return and Refund program, which will be available via Ticketek.

Below is an overview of the process and a step-by-step guide is available here.

If you are SUCCESSFUL in the ballot but unable to attend

Visit westcoasteagles.com.au to access the Ticketek ticket returns website on Monday, September 28 between 8am and 7pm (WST)

Select "Find Your Tickets for Return" and sign in to your My Ticketek Account

Select "Tickets to Return" and confirm

Please note

  • The full order of grand final tickets will be returned and refunded, you cannot split transactions
  • A full refund of the ticket cost will appear on your credit card within 10 days
  • Once you have returned your ticket you will not be able to repurchase
  • Click here for a full list of terms and conditions
*Please note if you registered for the ballot via the phone you are required to contact Ticketek on 1300 796 939 to return your tickets

UNSUCCESSFUL REGISTRATIONS

For members who are unsuccessful in the ballot, there may be another opportunity to secure grand final tickets if successful members return their tickets. Please note, this is subject to availability as there is no obligation for members to return tickets. Members will be notified on westcoasteagles.com.au from 10am WST on Tuesday morning should there be an onsale on Tuesday, September 29 from 2pm-4pm WST.

If you are UNSUCCESSFUL in the ballot but able to attend

Onsale to be confirmed by 10am Tuesday, September 29 on club website

Tickets will go onsale Tuesday, September 29, 2pm-4pm (WST)

Visit TICKETEK to purchase tickets (eligible members only, using your 12-digit membership barcode)

Yes... Yes it does. Any idea what people are paying for them and what you think a realistic price is?

From what I see in the resell market, sellers are unrealistic asking up to $1-1.5k per ticket. You can get an AFL members seat for around $500-600 atm even though they are not supposed to be transferable. I see a few AFL GF competition prize tickets going on sale for around $750 which is also over priced IMO. If you wait until mid next week it becomes more of a buyer’s market as sellers will need to offload tickets. You just need to sit tight and hope for the best. Pay what you are comfortable with not because of panic or because the seller is bidding up prices between sellers.

It is a shame the GF tickets are treated in such a way. Genuine fans who want to watch the game have to get ripped off either by the AFL or the scalpers. Selling official AFL packages for $2.5k just highlights the disdain the AFL has for the average fan.

Having it a declared event means f.all as every ticket for sale atm is marked up. Setup a wanted GF ticket ad on a few websites and see the ridiculous prices scalpers are asking. They should introduce a ‘dob in a scalper law’, the person who dobs and proves scalping should get the ticket for free and the scalper prosecuted.

True prices for grand final are here http://www.afl.com.au/tickets/seat-pricing-guide

I was offered a Catagory 6 ticket for $1.3k. Apparently they paid $1k on an afl package LMFAO. I see why they are trying to offload it.

Yep, I had a few of those Cat 6 - up in the heaven - tickets offered to me for similar prices. Those were the $950 packages with the crappy breakfast. Basically a $220 ticket and a $730 breakfast. You only buy an AFL package if you want a confirmed ticket, those people who are scalping forget the AFL has already taken a huge margin on the AFL package price.

I have a Cat 3 ticket for the WCE vs Kangas Prelim I am selling for $80 if anyone is interested PM me.Ticket has to go by tomorrow.

Have a real gut feeling that I'll be successful in the gf ballot but not be able to get other there!!
Yeh it sucks freo playing tonight. If they win, their ferals who are waiting til its official like me will snap up all the remaining flights
