Trade week has barely started, a bit premature to be disappointed.

You can't pick up every recruit on the move.

We have been very active for the last few years.

I think you need to chill...
A number of posts have been “stickied” of late.

This is by far the most relevant to be “stickied”.

So much impractical spitballing on here. I love creative and imaginative trade talk, but those posts are dramatically outnumbered by illogical offerings, which often get more positive response than practical offerings.

Agree. We all get a bit wrapped up in “we need trades or everyone will go past us”.

Austin held his nerve last year and we ended up with Ollie Hollands and Blake Acres in our Best 22.

Pretty good result

Being smart is entirely different to being dynamic. Matt Owies provides the exact same traits for us yet we cry out about a lack of a dynamic small forward year on year. Dynamic is Charlie Cameron or Zac Bailey.

Surely there’s a spare Rioli floating around out there somewhere ??

We've only had 1 day.
Yeah. I think the Hollands and Fisher trades will be done later in trade period. Both GC and North have a lot going on and I expect some of their picks will change, leaving something closer to what we'd want for Fisher, and what GC would want for Hollands.

no question we need to firm up the returns we receive for Dow and Fish - which will take time.

This, in turn, has a significant bearing on how we structure deals for incoming players - hopefully E Hollands and J. Sinn.

Not sure that Sinn would be a high priority. Port would want the world having moved up to get him and he would drop into the half back pool of Newman, Saad, Boyd. Cowan, Williams, Doc etc

Newman and Saad are 31/3o next year. Williams could easily be midfield or even HF and Doc is now playing mid/hf. Gives us flexibility and if he can step up he is a very good left foot kick. You are also effectively getting a rookie that has had 2-3 pre seasons under him and is ready to go and won't cost much

I see a lot positives in this deal

Apparently been dealing with OP. As someone who struggled with it a fair bit in my early years I know it can be debilitating. Totally ruins ur explosiveness while ur dealing with it

Could mean big upside if he can get that right.

Judd had to completely change his game after his bout with OP.

Still excelled at it obviously but there's a pretty clear difference between WCE Judd and Carlton Judd.
