I'd just like to inform everyone that the player from up north whom I mentioned to you all before was Jarred Moore. I sent a PM to _RT_ about this around 6 days ago with the exact player, so I could claim it if it did actually came to fruition.

As I have said numerous times, this source isn't too credible, but I'm sure you all want the discussion anyway, so enjoy.

yep i heard this last night by a source also posted it about 30 mins ago :)

I have heard that from many...and OK tend to agree. What I havent heard is other options. Baited breath......
I think we are going to have to draft 1 like Daniel Currie that feel could step in straight away. Very hard to draft someone to come be a back up. Dawson Simpson is another maybe.

And the chances of drafting a ruckman "ready to go " are the same as me winning lotto so our plight would remain the same, unless of course NicNat's twin brother is flying under the radar. Hence my looking around for other options more effective in the short term.

Was referring to a mature-ager. Currie has finally had a full year in the SANFL after being on Sydney's list 5 years. Couldn't get his body right there at all. Can play and would have had some very good coaching up there.

Correct, could be like the Giles of next year.

I will have to take your word for that as I have no real knowledge of the guy. 5 years at Sydney for how many senior games? and a year in the SANFL doesnt excite me too much though I have to say. In comparison Dawes sounds a much better bet..lmao

Zero. Spent the whole time injured. Dawes can't ruck though. Are we talking forwards or rucks?

You do know that Nic Nat does actually have a twin brother but he is built more like David Rodan than Nic Nat.

Seriously if they remade the movie Twins then the Natanui brothers could star in it.

Thats the thing. I dont think we can secure a quality ruck who is prepared to play 2nd fiddle. We also need another decent third tall option. Is why I started thinking the way I did. Not many choices available
I just think Dawes will cost a lot more than he is worth. And I'd be hoping we could develop someone in the forward line that can catch a cold at a minimum. I put up Currie's name because he could back-up both Maric and Vickery and he wouldn't be expecting to be top dog. We need to draft an 18 year old too so we don't get caught out like this again.

Haven't heard Nicholls mentioned in some time.
Haha yeah in fairness that probably cause ive mentioned him 3 or 4 times as a potential bloke looking for a new club.

Dont think there has ever been anything official that hes not happy up north

We are not going to get much action for the next couple of days IMO for four reasons:

1) This is not trade week, but freaking trade month now. No rush to do deals in just 3-4 days

2) The compo picks are yet to be assigned. A lot of deals (see below) are likely to be dependent upon these being known, as they will most likely feature in or influence some of the trades.

3) We are already getting a log jam with three main trades holding things up.
- Swans need to get decent trade currency for Tippett, which means them trading in a pick of finding an acceptable player. This could take some time to wrangle. What a third club may be willing to trade may be dependent upon the compo picks (just my view).
- Wellingham to Dees is a lock except the player is not interested. Given the Melbourne offer appears to be so much better than what the WCE are likely to offer (its insane IMO), I'm expecting the Pies and Dees to try and work on Wellingham to change his mind for the entire trade period (unless he caves). Pies will ultimately deal with WCE, but its in there interest to get Wellingham liking the Dees.
- Caddy is becoming a farce. Talk of 2 first round picks is BS, but it will be a first round pick. Cats, Kangas, and Saints all in play, but what they can offer is unlikely to be known until the Cats/Kangas finalize the Macintosh trade, and the Saints get their Goddard compo.

4) Our publicly known "likely" targets are all going to be delayed until other events are concluded:
- Suspect the trading for Thomas/Jacobs will be delayed until after Port know their compo picks for Chaplin/Pearce, especially if a trade of picks is involved (i.e. Port want one of our second rounds, but we want another pick back).
- Post to Brisbane for Cornelius/K-dude is unlikely to be done till Brisbane know they are zero chance of getting Tippett
- Tyson is at best on life support with the priest giving last rites. Only chance now is if another club needs our pick 9 to upgrade a deal with GWS (same as what the Doggies tried). Wouldn't be banking on it though, but this will linger until the end.

Gunna be a long trade period, settle in and get some zzzz's in the meantime
