A year out of the ruck could be good for Kreuzer, we don't want to destroy his body this early on. He and Waite alternating between the FP/HFF & FF with Henderson or Austin at CHF/CHB could be a nice setup.

Hampson, kruz and warnock should be in the best 22. one of them being thrown down in that forward at any given time.

I think if austin does play, he should be in that defence as Waite has the most to offer the team in the forward line. great skills, great leap(hopefully this wont change afterthe injury) and is fairly quick for his size.

I would rather see Waite at CHF, and setanta at FF. i think playing him at CHF is a big ask for a player who is still learning the game, but at FF he may be able to hold that down a lot quicker.

Garlett Waite Robinson
Henderson Setanta Betts

And as mentioned, possibly using a ruck to drop down tehre to stretch the defence.

I prefer robinson than yarren simply because we need a tuff nut to hold the ball in and do a lot of hard work. yarren isnt that player.

Henderson was recruited to play CHF . Waite will play half back and wing . Robertson is a DH full stop . Don't forget Ratts and Riley both coached at the dees and neither can stand the guy . Don't be surprised when you start hearing rumours that Matty Lloyd may not be ritiring and a few clubs are interested in him !

O'hAilpin? Cloke? Fisher? Wiggins?

Can we just give up on these guys already? they will never be anything worthy at AFL level. No miracles will happen to see these players perform. No good teams will have any of these names playing for them. I'd rather them all be delisted. As hard as that sounds if these names are making up our foward line next year I will give up hope on us doing anything in the coming years. Go with players that could actually be in our next premiership campaign.

Betts Kreuzer Walker
Pick 12* Henderson Yarran

*Griffiths, Panos, Black, Butcher, Talia.

setanta just signed a 2 year deal so i think the club will persist with him after his handful of impressive games in te forward line.

wiggins is very much liked by the club and ratts..so no, they wont give up on him.

i think fisher is gone, useless to us.

Cloke surprisingly remains important back up.

Remember the NAB Cup game V Geelong? No Fevola. Ratten played Hampson as a leading forward for part of the game. Was incredibly quick on the lead, and applied the afterburners on a few occasions chasing down Burns. His height and leap was causing issues for the Cats defenders. An option.

Any of Waite, Kruezer or Henderson could play the goal square role or CHF. And I still like Yarran playing as a leading medium forward. Even if he doesn't mark the ball, he skills are freaky, and goal-sense off-the-scale.

There's plenty of forward options. Quite a bit of raw talent there - more than most other Clubs in fact, but VERY inexperienced. A huge amount of development needed. :)

I think Hampson will surprise a lot of people next season. He's come a long way since 08 and as Riley described him, on the verge of being a 'very good mark'. Improving at a rapid pace and with another preseason will continue to improve.

Very excited to see how he goes in 2010 and I'll be very surprised if he doesn't spend time up forward (if Warnock can get his body right).

I agree, he looked good in the Nab cup and i think we may be onto something with kruz, warnock and the hammer capable of playing in the same team and kruz and hampson effective in the forward line. Henderson should be left at CHF for the whole year to develop IMO.
