Game day : Fremantle v Saints

Just finished watching FTA

Bloody proud of the boys, they did well... It wasn't always perfect footy, especially in the first quarter, but we fought well and hung in there.

The only player I really wasn't happy with was Dawson. There's no way that Silvagni should be sacrificing a spot for that man. Everyone else I'm more or less happy with.

As for Pearce, for all his knockers, I'd point out that his problem was never his disposal... take a look at last years' disposal percentages; Clanceeeeeee was one of our best in that department. I think the difference is he's seized the chances to brush up on his hunger at the ball and his awareness and it's playing dividends....

As for Tendai...

TWO TOWELS!!!

I think my wife may have just realised I've been having an emotional affair with a Zimbabwean born Footballer.

Nicely done lads, nicely done.

Impressive win. Thought the saints were going to roll over the top of you in that last quarter but you found the resolve to win

Really like the look of Clarke. We've had cox v sandi now we can look forward to nic v zac over the next few years

3rd quarter about to finish watching the replay.

That win was sweeter then the Geelong win...because it was against St Kilda.

For anyone who was at the game, what was the crowd like? Sounded very hostile.

Love watching Seppo going nuts in the cheer squad :D :thumbsu:

Keyser you are a good man ! There's no doubt about that, but the hyperbole for Sideshow Bob vs Zachary Clarke is deafening.
Bring on the Derby, coz Zachary was not a no 2 draft pick.

Man that was good, Zac Clarke is seriously going to be unstoppable soon. Second full game back for Barlow, Mundy ran out his first full game pretty well, next Friday is going to be even bigger

Tendai Mzungu is a gun by the way, just sayin'...reckon he'll finish Top 5 in the B&F quite easily.

Hopefully this win and the seven day break sets us up well fro a real crack at the in-form Carlton at home next Friday. Can't wait. Would love to get Carlton's scalp.

Hope you do too

Carlton are the one and only side I hope freo beat

Watching Balla tonight made me realise how much we've missed his great passes under pressure. Great to have him back.

Forgot to mention how good was Lenny's goal... Not Hayes but Kravitz.... Clarkes goal got a "Special" from Bruce.... That was a seriously good goal from 50m. Won't get the credit deserves in Vic.

I really like the way Hayden Ballantyne handled himself tonight.

No scragging, niggling or staging for frees.

Great to see him let his football skills do the talking rather than his antics.

That 2 week spell seems to have done his attitude the world of good.

Just loved the effort from the guys when we were down and the ball was in dispute - I think the back 6 deserve some credit and have to say the decision making and pin point passing at times by them ( duff and Jhonno ) was impressive. The more we play under this game style the more we gel and tonight was testament to that. Bravo to JA who fought hard to get himself into the game, never easy coming in as a replacement but I think he contested well and was stiff at times with 2 defenders smothering him. The run through the middle was dangerous in patches and if we can generate more of that and more clean ball inside 50 we'll go a long way this year. Feeling great right now, nwhat a way to finish the week !!!!

Congrats on a fantastic win. I made the comment after half time that we were watching a different Freo side. :thumbsu: Hopefully for the loyal supporters this is the start of some really good success. :)

Massive win. Didn't give us a chance in the lead up, and especially when they drew level during the last, but like Lyon said, they willed themselves over the line.

Maybe times are changing around Fremantle!

That's the really impressive thing isn't it. This is the difference between a real top flight coach and the rest. They look like they believe in the structures. Johnson is a new man. He knows what he's supposed to be doing and he does it. He's always beens smart now he has a role he understands and he's blossoming.

Really impressed with our 4th qtrs. Never say die and look to have the confidence and character to keep at it. It's as though our opposition are looking like pre-Lyon Fremantle, exhausted from the relentless structure and unable to hang on.

Mayne playin insane! MJ, Mzu, McPhee ice cold cool and collected, Hilly throwin' down some cred - man I love this team

Well done Freo. Wow Fre v Car next ! I like the preparation too - the team left on the 1am flight with the ... chocolates

Agree, Tendai has been great - all year actually. Great disposal, attack on the ball.

Hope Lyon can instill that edge in Duffman as well so he can take the next step. As it is Duff is still vitally important and our best ball user coming off half back - hardly wastes a ball.

Really enjoying all these lesser lights stepping up this year.

Just don't mention that freo won on the public forums... Saints fans seems like they are certain they were robbed by the umpires. Thought could've gone either way and having 12 - 12 free kick count suggest a free flowing game. But hey winners are grinners and losers are well.. losers.
