So now we are all back to normal BF life.....

Jones - Set the tone when he nailed the Ranga early doors, kicked a settler when no one else could. I reckon the coaches have finally told him to just go out and play. Not quite where we need him, but he'll get there.

Brad - Slow start but came good quickly. The outside burst run, strength in the contest and constructive handball.... We will miss all that, he's gonna hurt when he leaves.

Murphy - Buzzed around all night, created scoring chances and nailed the sealer. That's all we need him to do on a more regular basis.

Matt - Absolutely huge again. See what happens when you put a rocket under a leader..... They reepond.

Kelly - We need to move on from him.

Sloane - That was vintage Rory. Willed himself from contest to contest, created the spillage and pushed the ball forward. Much better.

Poholke - I'm a bit of a fan, I think he has the elements of a good player.... But he was God awful. Bring Ned back in I think.

Talia - Great game from the old war horse.

Tex - As I said, one of the better 8 possession games of the year. Everything he did was positive, he looked strong too.

Mackay - Look he needn't be playing, but credit to him his had a couple of good weeks.

Hartigan - Was always going to be tough to back up his career game on a totally different opponent, but he didn't do too much wrong.

Brown - Best game in a long time, destroyed Breust.

Stengle - I like this kid, but **** does he need to get himself some reward for effort. Could be leading our goal kicking if he took his chances. Looks so composed and sure of himself around the ground though.

McAdam - Egg on the face of many, he looks better and better every week. Like Stengle though, needs to finish better.

Schoenberg - That blind turn..... He plays like Brad Crouch and that can only be a good thing for our future. Love what he's doing. Imagine when he gets more of it, he just doesn't waste a disposal.

Keays - Yet another very solid game from him, a very very good Moneyball pick up. Big, strong and the kicking is getting better.

Laird - Has helped turn our midfield back into a semi competent one. Disposal isn't as bad as it was early season either. Looks a natural.

Fogarty - Much like Tex, didn't have much of it but what he did do was very good. I think pushing Tex up the ground helps him.

Smith - Along with Keays he's probably the only one who's going to go close to ROB. Turning into a pretty handy first change mid.

Himmelberg - Despite the lack of goals, that's the best game he's played. Looked strong, competed hard and looked composed with the ball, especially with the handball.

Sholl - His kicking is a thing of beauty. Still needs some size to compete with the best teams but that will come. When you can kick that good on both sides you're always at an advantage.

ROB - One of the best ruck performances of anyone this season. And he started doing something no Crows ruck has done since the Big Puss..... PUNCH THE BALL FORWARD !!! Used it well by foot too. BnF incoming.....

They'll argue that they didn't have proper access to the players so it's unfair to judge them
Yeah, just like the other 17 sides...

Doesn't explain why we had 2nd half fadeouts most of last season too...

What I really enjoyed seeing was after a goal etc, all the young fellas were getting around each other, and it actually looked a young, excited team. The senior guys were the odd ones out.

I mentioned "changing of the guard" in a post a while back, in that I wanted the young group to form their own team, and take it off of Tex, Sloane, Crouch, Lynch etc.

This seems to be happening now.

Jones , for now , looks to be the cut out on the opposite wing for any change up balls

I know there were a couple in here claiming something wrong with Sloaney & Nicks.

Would suggest that's untrue... Doubt you'd be having a couple beers with the coach. Article was all about Sloane being relieved plus excited to get a win. I think what people were seeing post match was just a captain filled with relief to lose the tag of a possible winless season.

Following the game, Sloane caught up with coach Matthew Nicks to reflect on the win.

“Had a couple of beers with him last night, chewed the fat and relaxed,” Sloane said.

“He enjoyed that performance.

“We want to finish the season off well (and) we’ve got three games to catapult us into 2021.”
