re: Parfitt I've been a fan over the years and he is a Premiership player.

He looked at one point as though he might be one of our first picked mids for years to come. Nowadays he finds himself on the periphery.

Some sloppy disposal today and looked quite fumbly to me at times, but by the same token he covered the ground well and got to the right spots regularly. Hopefully he can find a bit of touch in the coming weeks and get back to his best form.

Honestly if Stanley is in trouble for that then the game is doomed.

Allen threw himself forward as soon as he got the ball. He was already on his knees. You are aloud to hang onto a bloke. It was a shocking free let alone a report.
Players will 100% lean forward to fall on their heads to start milking frees. Nothing is surer.

Interesting stat for anyone thinking the sky is falling because WC kicked some junk goals after the game was well and truely done.

From half time Easter Monday to 10 minutes into the second half today (so a bit over 1 full game) we outscored our opposition 208-40
Yeah just needed the four points.
Its nice to have the 80 odd point wins but its only April...plenty of time to things rolling

was thinking the same thing while watching the game today - same as when a player milks a push in the back free when the contact is there-but-minimal.

hard game to umpire - I think they perhaps need to consider making holding the ball decisions a lot quicker - once a player is wrapped up and spun they need to be pinged; get too much leniency and the tackler feels he really has to bury an opponent to get the result.

The midfield is still a bit of a worry. When we aren’t winning we look absolutely horrible and our whole game brakes down. When we get on top in there then it looks like we are invincible.

I would love to see a Bruhn or somebody else come good. We really need another option.

I’d also like to see Duncan further up the ground. It’s a myth he’s this great half back. He’s avoids contact at all costs. When the whips were cracking last year he played much further up. Bowes has actually looked a composed user the last two weeks. Not high stats but he makes great decisons. Can he do it against better opposition than the rubbish we have played the last two weeks time will tell.

That was the worst commentary I've ever heard.

AFL commentary in general is terrible.

Since moving north a few years ago I watch a lot more NRL than I used to - their commentators are so much better; no bullsh*t confected narratives, no artificially trying to generate drama, just solid calling.

What happened to Bruhn? All I heard in the off season was what a great pick up he was.
Didn't start well. In fairness nor did anyone besides JC, but when you're fringe and a few players back in it's seen him out. Will get more opportunities but need to be good to stay in (good problem/situation to have).
