'Geelong Cats' Rebranding?

Doesn't the website rebranding have something to do with the fact that 99.9% of the world's english speaking (and google searching) population think GFC means Global Financial Crises.

The problem now being with the Gold Coast coming in there will be two clubs that are the GCFC.

I remember the days when Mick Turner was Captain and (as i recall) he wanted to change the name to the "Wildcats". I think that he thought that it would be a bit more of a "tough team" image. Something that our football performances at the time would not support.

I found this clip on youtube from early in 1984 where Drew Morphett says that Geelong now prefers to be called the Wildcats. If you watch the uninspiring football in the rest of the video then I'm sure you'll agree the name wasn't very fitting at the time.
