What's our weakest link? Ruck, CHF, no small crumbling forward, too tall down back?

At the moment I'd say no crumbing forward. Just have to look at how our forward line looked earlier in the year when we had Cockatoo and Parfitt providing defensive pressure in the forward 50.

The melts every time we lose make me laugh, we wont structurally alter our side in Round 19 based on one loss, 5+ changes is just ridiculous.
For the Meat Tray
In Mackie,Parfitt,Cockatoo
Out Kolodjashnij,Parsons,Zuthrie

Out - Z. Guthrie (omit), Blicavs (inj), Motlop (omit).

In - Mackie, Cockatoo, Parfitt.

I didn't see the game at all, some people say Stanley was okay, others say he was terrible, it won't matter either way because I don't expect Blicavs to get up so Stanley stays in.

Apparently Murdoch's game was terrible but for me he stays in ahead of Motlop because at least Murdoch's been doing his role well for about 5-6 weeks now.

Even though I think we are too tall (I would drop one of Lonergan/Kolodjashnij to allow Taylor to go back, which means we can play Stanley or Buzza as a pure CHF) I can't see us dropping any of Lonergan, Kolodjashnij or Stanley so...

Looking forward to getting smashed by Carlton's run next week when I'm at the game :'(

You'll have to share the tray with me. I've already put those up. :)

Let's be honest, you could nod in agreement with about a dozen players being dropped on last night's performance. But this MC doesn't make a habit of reacting like us fans do.

I think there's a long enough track record now to drop Motlop and Stanley without thinking twice.

Kolo was poor yet again, and assume Blitz will be ok.

Out: Motlop, Stanley, Kolo, Zuthrie

In: Mackie, Buzza, Cocky, Parfitt

As much as I pine for Stanley to not play again, unfortunately he will.
Kreuzer is probably the form ruck of the last couple of months.

Lucky him to get to play against a hack on Saturday night.

Cocky has missed a fair bit yeah? Not sure we bring him straight back in.. or maybe I'm not sure we should without a run in the 2s.. we are crying out for his pressure and aggression though.

If bloody Gibbs strolls round slicing us up again I'll be furious... Scoot you have had your week back to feel the pace .. clamp time now.

Blues are a young developing side, we should win but they will make us earn it

Blitz gone, so Take 2:

Out: Blitz, Stanley, Kolo, Motlop

In: Mackie, Buzza, Cocky, Parfitt

Zuthrie stays for Motlop because he won't carelessly waste the ball, and Buzza to crash the packs and create some chaos.

Did you see when he marked the ball in 25m of space and instead of running towards goal he stands there for 15 seconds and then kicks it to the advantage side of menzel's defender. He just can't be relied upon.
that is your problem? its not like a common occurence with him. usually he takes off in those situations. probably thought he heard something on this occassion and hesitated as a result. if he did this on regular basis i would be with you but it was a complete one off. and in any case we got a goal out of it. Out of the plays to be upset about last night that aint even in the top 100.

You have been very uncharacteristically ripping in to him for 24 hours and it looks terribly biased. Stanleys fight when the ball was on the ground was frankly shocking and there was that bad fumble in the middle but give him credit for some things he did reasonably well. Smith got well beaten by Jacobs in ruck work and Stanley atleast broke even if not won when he was rucking. Stanley did pull down two exceptional contested marks when others were dropping uncontested chest marks and took 4 overall. Stanley was also robbed of a free 10 m out from goal when he got himself in the perfect position to take the mark and then got blantantly interferred from the front. it was a shocking non call. Smith didnt look like taking one mark all night and although he showed some fight when the ball was on the deck only ended up with four more touches and these were mostly scrappy handballs. Hard to claim Stanley was worse then Smith and neither were in the bottom 5. motlop, menzel, parsons, zac guthrie, scott selwood were all clearly worse. arguably stewart, kolo, lonergan and cam guthrie as well.

He did his job again last night. His worst mistake was to kick it long to a one on one on a couple of occasions where the Geelong play simply wasn't as good as his opponent. No way will he be dropped.

Stanley had some moments, but for mine wasn't good enough. Nor Kolo or Motlop.

Murda has some credit in the bank, and I'd like Buzza back simply because he's willing to throw his weight around (you listening Hawkins?) and remove the predictability we have in our forward line. It also brings our ground level guys into the game more, and helps trap the ball forward.
