Off to a good start despite a few umpiring howlers, won't complain.
Tugs have remnants of their pressure game but ours is good too.
Keep it up and settle the forwards, we should go on.

Richmond bringing alot of intensity and effort and playing like a side fighting for their season.
I’m not sure many people have watched Richmond this season. They have brought the heat in nearly all of their games. They just can’t sub stain it for 4 quarters.

Spot on - Esava just doesn't know how to read the play and get in a good position....

Its frustrating because he not only puts himself in spots where he cant influence thr contest, but in a spot where he creates a negative result for the side by allowing his opponent to influence the play.

We are going to see grimes and garthwaite peel off all day because of ratugolea.

I'm 180 degrees on Dahlhaus at this stage. Second efforts and sheer willpower to keep it moving forward is huge.

Everyone's aware he has his limitations, and would be very surprised if he wasn't also aware of them

But he can be a valuable contributor in our 22 when he plays to his strengths which is built upon a pressure game - the first, second & third efforts, the willingness to put his body where others may not and wear contact not necessarily expected of the smaller guys. I'd like to see him kick a few more goals, but he is something of a point of difference amongst our smaller guys

ok-ish quarter. shame tommy couldn't mark that to put another on the board. how long can richmond keep this up, it takes a lot of discipline to be all effort for no reward.

Doubt they can do it long and well enough. We have it over them all over the park. Only so far their shitball gameplan will take them when opposition is so much better. If it rains they will keep it closer.

The awareness of richmond about how poor a player ratugolea is through their sheer lack of respect for maning him up and peeling off him to double team hawkins is a worry for us.

There's only one person who can solve that.
The flying Fijian needs to find his wings and footy brain.

I’m calling it early.
Sav will get dropped next week, he’s already shown enough for me to know this is one of his classic stinker games
I'm calling it. Sav to get 3 big contested marks this quarter.

*shrugs*

Zero everything that quarter

Think it will depend when Cameron returns - if Cameron is still out then he just stay, unless we decide to help Jenkins reach 150

Close should have snapped at goal he gave it to Miers under pressure who just had to slam it on the boot and hope.
Nonsense. Close had two options. A: cycle around and snap B: handball to team mate running straight at goal, so in a better position, and screaming for the ball. Close took the correct option and the one Geelong players are coached to take.
